Dancing Diva Paris was getting her groove on at Hugh Hefner's 81st birthday party at Moon Nightclub at The Palms Hotel and Casino Resort Saturday eve. Not only was she busting out all the moves (and out of her dress) but she was busting out all her gadgets as well! We all know how much Paris loves changing cell phones, but I never thought in my wildest dreams that she would have already pitched the BlackBerry 8700 for the sleek and oh so divine BlackBerry 8800! I've got to give this girl credit where credit is due!

New Blackberry 8800 Is Thinner Than Ever

AT&T introduced the thinnest BlackBerry handset yet last week and I have to say, it was about time. The BlackBerry 8800 incorporates a full QWERTY keyboard, and all the functions of the beloved 8700 Blackberry, which Jennifer Aniston is a huge fan of. AT&T will be the first wireless carrier in North America to launch the BlackBerry 8800 and will begin offering it across its wireless retail and business channels on February 21.

The BlackBerry 8800 has a premium, dark blue finish and Push To Talk on the handset. It features a built-in Global Positioning System, a new trackball navigation system for fast and intuitive navigation, as well as a media player and a microSD expandable memory slot for storage of music and videos. The BlackBerry 8800 also comes with a complement of accessories - headset, travel charger, holster, and USB cable - that are included in the box. It will be available for $299.99 with a two-year commitment. You can get unlimited corporate email access via BlackBerry for $44.99 a month with a voice contract.

How To Change Your BlackBerry Pearl's Color

If you happen to have a BlackBerry Pearl I suggest you take a tip from the Spice Girls (hey, they are hot again, right?) and "spice up your life." You can do so by downloading ColorPearl, which allows you to change the color of the trackball on your BlackBerry Pearl. You can get the download for free from Viral Electronics. An easy way to get the software on your Pearl is to email the downloadable attachment to yourself and open it on your BlackBerry.

Note: The BlackBerry 8800 and Curve/8300 do not have the colored LEDs behind the trackball, so there is no way to make ColorPearl work on them. You can change your Pearl to white, red, green, blue, cyan, yellow, pink, custom or random.

First of all, join the 'How To' Help - Guide To All Things Geeky
Click "Create and Share!" on the left hand side
Choose "Blog"
Give your photo a Title
Leave the category as "general"
Change the channel to "technology and gadgets"
Add keyword(s) (for example mine for this photo was "Geek tip")
Click on the "Add Image" link below the "body" box
A popup window will happen - click on "Browse" to find your image on your computer
Once you have the image chosen, click "Submit"
The popup will show you your image, choose size: "normal" - if you want, you can give it a title (which will show up as a caption)
Click "Insert" and the popup will go away
Your "body" box will now have some text in it. Leave it as is. If you want to add some text before the picture telling me why you think this person is geeky, do it before the code that has appeared.
Click Submit

Jackie Collins Loves Gadgets, Hates When They Aren't Set Up

A celebrity figure for decades, Jackie Collins happens to be one of the world's wealthiest diva writers and, as it turns out, a bit of a gadget freak. Switched recently caught up with Collins to test her on her gadget know how. She may have been born in the age of the typewriter, but this diva can't live without her computer or BlackBerry and don't even get her started on people who can't help her hook her gadgets up.

"I am furious when I arrive in a country at a big hotel and they don't know how to connect my laptop, so that I can keep in touch with everybody," says Collins. "I was recently in Sydney, and I had a week of wonderful dialogue with all my friends via e-mail, and then I arrived in Melbourne and they couldn't figure it out. What a bummer!"

My laptop. Cannot travel without it. It keeps me connected with the outside world when I am in places like Australia, and the time difference is so huge.

Starting next Monday Colorware, the color-customizing gadget experts will be coloring BlackBerry curves, pearls and 8800 series cell phones. Colors that are already posted on the site include red, purple, green and yellow and although the prices aren't posted, The Boy Genius Report guesstimates that they shouldn't be more than $99.
