Reese Witherspoon Updates Her BlackBerry and Phone Case

Whether it be Winter or Summer, Reese Witherspoon manages to keep her gadgets bubbly and bright all year long! Just six months ago, the blond beauty was spotted with a BlackBerry Curve smartphone adorned in a lime green gel case. Not long after, she upgraded her Curve with the Bold, which was rockin' a hot pink BB case.

And just recently, while out during a shopping excursion, Reese looked pretty adorable trying to free up her hands with her BlackBerry's earpiece - guess that means we can add her to the hands free cell phone list?!

Geek Out: Do You Care About the Quality of Your Phone's Pics?

A friend of mine recently upgraded from a BlackBerry Pearl to a BlackBerry Curve and sent me an "OMG! I can't believe it!" email after playing with the Curve 8900's camera. There's no denying the appeal of the tiny Pearl - not only is it now discounted with many carriers, but it's also functional, reliable, and has some great features. But its 1.3MP (or 2MP) camera doesn't hold a candle to the Curve's 3.2 MP shooter. The megapixel difference makes this like comparing apples to oranges, but boy, what a difference those pixels make.
With the popularity of mobile uploads on sites like Facebook, applications like twitpic, fancy iPhone camera apps and the ability to mobile blog, I worry the stakes and expectations for photos taken on cell phones are teetering on too high. Do you care? Or are cell phone pics just about instant gratification and capturing ridiculous moments?

Check out some additional comparison photos, when you read more.

Kristen Stewart Has a Pretty in Pink BlackBerry

Let's rewind for a second. Taking into consideration her regular trips to the Apple Store and the fact that her character Bella in Twilight is a Nokia and Apple fan, I'm kinda surprised Kristen isn't an iPhone user. Although I must admit, I'm dually shocked at the fact she has a pink phone with her new grunge look.

RIM's BlackBerry Curve 83XX series smartphone overtook Apple's iPhone 3G in sales in the first quarter of 2009. Third and fourth place go to the BlackBerry Storm and the BlackBerry Pearl. - Engadget

Amazon is gearing up to announce a larger-screened Kindle this Wednesday, which will be perfect for reading newspapers and magazines. - The New York Times

Did you know that al Qaeda members used Hotmail to communicate and plan their attacks on the US? - Switched

There's still more than 3 million households in the US that are not ready for the digital TV transition on June 12. - The Silicon Alley Insider

BlackBerry Combo Pack Includes a Charging Dock and Cases

Little did I know, but the charging USB port on BlackBerrys has been known to malfunction because the gold pins pop out of the USB track. Unfortunately, PetSugar had this happen to her and resorted to two batteries which she charged at work, so she could have a juiced up Pearl during evenings and weekends. PetSugar didn't want to shell out for a new handset or pay hefty fees to have it repaired, so we put our heads together to come up with a solution. Yes, BlackBerry makes its very own charging dock called the Charging Pod.

With the BlackBerry Pearl Charging Pod ($9 - see below for images) and the Charging Pod for various Curve handhelds ($8), you can juice up your BlackBerry by connecting the charging cord to the dock and conveniently see the screen of your BlackBerry as it stands up in the Pod.

And for only $12.69, BlackBerry has this sweet deal where you get three silicone cases in the colors shown and a charging dock for only $12.69. Even though my charger works just fine, I kind of like the idea of sitting my BlackBerry in a dock at the end of the day!

T-Mobile has just dropped the 8900 down to $150 from its original $200 price tag. This $100 mail-in rebate deal makes this smartphone - which boasts a 3.2-megapixel cam, built-in video camera and backlit QWERTY keys - a steal of a deal.

Daily Tech: The Storm, Curve, and Bold Go Head-to-Head

What do you get when you put the new Curve 8900, the Bold, and the Storm together? Three BlackBerry's that put some other smartphones to shame. But what features differentiate each phone? - Engadget

If you've been waiting to get your hands on an Eye-Fi wireless photo uploading card, Evernote has teamed up with Eye-Fi to offer the card for only $60. - Lifehacker

Check out some of the most creepiest ads on the Internet today. - Switched

The T-Mobile G1 Android firmware update version 1.1 will officially roll out to customers between Feb. 5 - 15. - Gizmodo

Google has just launched an iPhone-friendly version of Google Books, which gives iPhone users access to 1.5 million books. - Wired

T-Mobile's BlackBerry Curve 8900 Is Even Hotter in Person

I love my Curve, just like every celeb in Hollywood. And thankfully I didn't make the switch to a Bold (like my sister) because I can now upgrade to the new Curve - the 8900. Basically take the BlackBerry Storm's sleekness, the Bold's UI, and the Curve's reliability, and you've got yourself the new and improved Curve 8900. The Curve 8900 is noticeably thinner than the 8300, with RIM stating that it's actually the lightest and thinnest full-QWERTY BlackBerry Smartphone to date. It's got that nice smooth rubbery feel on the back, and with the new Atomic trackball, you'll notice it's a bit more sturdier than the one you'd find on a Pearl or older Curve models.

Other brilliant features include the 3.2-megapixel camera, the built in video camera, and the striking 480x360 pixel screen that shows off crisp images and bright colors. The backlit QWERTY keys take a bit of getting used to if you're used to the 8300, but all in all, not a huge adjustment to make. Overall, if you're a Curve user and a Curve fan in general, you'll fall madly in love with the 8900. Keep in mind this bad boy doesn't come with 3G.

Not only is Clive Owen ridiculously handsome, but he's also got great communication skills! While waiting for his luggage at LAX the other day, Clive was rocking not one, but two BlackBerry Curves - one silver and one gold. I guess you could say he was pulling a Lindsay and a Madonna by being dually-connected, but whatever the case, let me bask in this sexy techjoyment moment.
