I don't know how this happened, but I started watching Battlestar Galactica again just before the two-year anniversary of its departure. The first three seasons are some of the best television I've ever seen, and if you're a megafan like myself, I'm sure you'll like these trinkets fit for your house and person I found on Etsy and The Supermarket. Let's cry into our Cloud 9 mojitos together and toast the epicness that was BSG.

Seattle Museums Get Geeky With BSG and Star Wars Exhibits

If you need a big ticket holiday gift for the geek on your list, I'd suggest a trip to Seattle. Besides taking in the city itself, there are a few awesome exhibits at the Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum (EMP|SFM) and Pacific Science Center that any BSG- or Star Wars-loving-geek will be dying to see.

From now until March 4, 2012, the EMP|SFM is running Battlestar Galactica: The Exhibition, showcasing full-size spaceships, costumes, music, and other props from the series. Check out a video of the exhibition to see just what's in store. Beginning next year on March 19 and running until May 8 is the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination show at the Pacific Science Center. The exhibition features props and costumes, and focuses on the science from the films like space travel, mechanical prosthetics, robotics, and levitation technology.

BSG Magnet Set: Totally Geeky or Geek Chic?

Battlestar Galactica may be off the air, but its legacy - and fandom - live on. Fans are making tribute videos, kokeshi dolls, and now, magnets! I spied this set of Battlestar Galactica magnets ($17) on Etsy recently, and I immediately thought that I must have them - until I realized they may be too Geeky, even for me.

The magnet set is pretty inexpensive and might make the perfect gift for the super BSG fan in your life. Imagine all the conversations that will start around the fridge! What do you think?

Forget Barbie, Let's Play BSG!

On their own, kokeshi dolls are pretty darn cute. A traditional handmade doll from Japan, a kokeshi is made without any arms or legs, have big wooden heads, and are usually seen in kimonos. The dolls are so beloved that Nintendo based its Mii avatars off of them! Swap out the usual kimono garb of a kokeshi and replace it with a BSG uniform, Jedi suit, or a Starfleet uniform, and you've got cute overload!

I'm loving the BSG kokeshi dolls from Etsy seller temple7e, and it seems pretty obvious that we're dealing with a true sci-fi fan. If BSG isn't your thing, there are also kokeshi Star Wars and Star Trek dolls too. Even though the Adama doll is pretty awesome, I can't decide which one to buy. What's your favorite? Oh BSG, How I Miss Thee

It's been almost a year since the last episode of Battlestar Galactica aired, and I still miss it. The TV movie Battlestar Galactica: The Plan helped kill my withdrawals a little bit, and even though it's taken a few weeks, I am proud to call myself a full-fledged Caprica fan.

But it's little nuggets like this tribute video that make a BSG-less existence that more bearable. I give you Galatica: Sabotage - get ready to rock!

Is Caprica City Really Seattle?

The new Syfy series Caprica is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows on TV. Not only is it well written, but it gives you that warm familiarity of Battlestar Galactica without stepping all over its toes. If you know your Battlestar history, you'd know that the series starts off on the planet Caprica, then travels many light years away to eventually find the Earth we know today. So why are there so many striking similarities between Caprica City and modern-day Seattle? Could it be that Caprica City is actually Seattle in an alternate reality? I have a few examples of this reasoning, the most obvious is the iconic Pike's Place Public Market sign we keep seeing during the show's cut scenes. Where else in the galaxy would you find that!?

I've done some digging and came up with five more reasons why I think that Caprica City is based on the Northwestern town . . . or actually is Seattle somewhere in time. Find out more after the break.

Battlestar Galactica Getting Its Own Video Game

If you're grasping on to everything BSG since its finale last year, like getting into Caprica, rewatching the entire series on Blu-Ray . . . What? You know I'm not the only one. Even the president can't get over it! So imagine our collective relief when NBC announced that the series will be getting its own online multiplayer game!

The game will be an MMO (massively multiplayer online) and will put you in the middle of space combat, fighting with a plethora of vipers, raptors, and weapons, along with engaging in tactical missions as you battle to keep the human race alive. Or, you know, you can play as a Cylon and try to eliminate them altogether. 'Sup to you. There are no release dates yet, but there is a launch page where you can sign up for news alerts.
