UK singer-songwriter Lily Allen has just launched an online chat show with UK's BBC 3 called Lily Allen and Friends. The show incorporates Lily's new music and brings together her MySpace and celebrity friends in an online interactive show.
Discussed on Trendhunter, once you become one of Lily's FaceBook or MySpace friends, or join her Flickr or YouTube pages, you can automatically send pictures, videos, or questions to guests on the show.

Brits have totally lucked out this week because the BBC has just launched the "on-demand" iPlayer, which will enable viewers to choose from 400 hours of programs, including hit shows such as "EastEnders," "Doctor Who" and "Planet Earth."
According to The New York Times the player is free and takes about thirty minutes to download an hour-long show. Programs cannot be saved permanently and will be automatically deleted after viewing or after thirty days.

The man arrested at the weekend was cautioned for dishonestly obtaining electronic communications services with intent to avoid payment. He attracted attention from neighbours in the early morning, as he had put up cardboard around his car windows but the light from his computer could be seen through the back window.

In general, people seem to agree that Facebook can be a big time-waster... even causing some students lower grades than their less-frequent Facebook-using friends. Now, the BBC is reporting on a Gloucestershire College claim that Facebook is actually cutting down on student dropout rates.

Will getting a song stuck in peoples' heads change the way a whole culture thinks about using condoms? That's what India is hoping for, with the BBC World Service Trust launching a very catchy ringtone campaign with a song whose chorus includes "Condom, Condom!"
It's intended to normalize the public's conception of condom use; what do you think?
