I'm obviously a big fan of Animal Crossing — having spent hours on end playing Wild World on my DS — I'm happy to say I've already put in some good time with Animal Crossing: City Folk, since its release on Sunday. It's the same game you know and love from before (which could be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it), but thankfully there are a few awesome new features on the Wii version that you won't find on any of the other consoles.
One of which is the Wii Speak adapter ($30) that lets you chat with others from around the world via your WiFi connection.

My cousin used to be completely obsessed with everything anime, but Gundam was one of his favorite shows. So I thought it totally appropriate to share these images of the 60-foot Gundam statue with you now since I'm heading to Japan this week! I'm crossing the Pacific to check out the Tokyo Game Show, as well as take in all the sights, sounds, and gadgets there are to be seen in the country that brought us ramen and Godzilla.

The release of the latest Star Wars movie, The Clone Wars, is coming up next week and although it's an animated feature, I'm sure it will be big — It's Lucas, so it must be. I'm not quite a Jedi Master, but I do appreciate my Star Wars entertainment like anyone else, having seen the entire series a few times, so I'm sure I'll be checking out the movie. I'm hoping to see a few Sith Lords and Storm Troopers waiting in line on opening night (fingers crossed), so I'll be sure to have my camera ready!

In the fresh May issue of Wired Magazine Heroes star and one of my favorite Geek of the Week contenders Masi Oka opened up about being a geek in real life and on screen.
The interview was actually just a slice Behind the Scenes With Heroes Creator Tim Kring and "Hiro," Masi Oka, which details the story of how the Crossing Jordan and Chicago Hope creator came up with the idea for the show. For those of you that haven't been watching, Heroes has quickly garnered cred from the mainstream press and viewers as well as the usual sci-fi cult fans.
