Ever wish you could go back and watch your favorite movies in 3D? Lucky for Titanic fans, the epic 90s film is being rereleased in 3D this week! You will soon be able to relive your Leonardo DiCaprio crush in three dimensions!

Of course, we're of the camp that says you shouldn't convert films to 3D just for the sake of jumping on the bandwagon. It needs to serve a purpose. But there are a few films that were released before the trend went mainstream that we wish we could see in a third dimension. We're often hearing of new advances in 3D printing, but has the technology shown up in your everyday life much yet?

The 3D printed table lamp kit from i.materialise puts 3D technology and industrial design in your power. The company will provide all the software required to design a lamp within the proper dimensions yourself. Once your concept is finalized, submit the rendering back to i.materialise, and its 3D printers will get to work on a lamp shade all your own.

Playstation 3D Display Is Magic: Two Players, Two Different Full-Screen Images

I'm not gonna lie; this PlayStation 24-inch 3D Display is too rich for my blood at $500, but what it does is practically magic. It allows two gamers to play the same game and see just one full-screen image. Gone are the days of split-screen gaming thanks to Sony's SimulView Technology, since you'll see your character (or car, or whatever) in full-screen mode even when you're playing with one of your pals.

Basically, the display works just like 3D does - it broadcasts two signals, and the included pair of glasses picks up either the left or right signal at one time, so you and a friend can see two totally different images while playing. Although, there are a few downsides; there's only one pair of shutter glasses included with the set (a second pair will set you back $70), and SimulView works with only a handful of games (Killzone 3, MotorStorm Apocalypse and Gran Turismo 5) in dark rooms. Still, you can hook up the PlayStation 3D Display to your laptop, PC, PlayStation 3 (obviously) or cable box, which makes this a great - but pricey - gift for a dorm room, bedroom, man cave, or game-addicts office.

3D Street Art Beats World Record

Fitness met 3D street art this week in London when the artist team of Joe and Max snagged the Guinness World Record for the largest and longest 3D street artwork. The piece is a partnership with Reebok CrossFit designed to look like passersby are hovering over snow-covered cliffs dangling over a steep waterfall.

The painting measures 12,490 square feet of London public space and required seven days to complete. For a behind-the-scenes look at the process of creating a record breaking painting check out Reebok's video after the break.

Are You Buying Into the 3D Trend?

Sprint announced the availability of its new HTC EVO 3D ($200) smartphone today, which comes with 3D technology. Not only can you create 3D videos with the dual 5MP cameras on the back of the phone, but you can also stream and watch 3D movies glasses-free. The phone itself comes with impressive specs even if you take out the 3D aspect (a 4.3-inch 3D HD display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3, and 4G speeds), but I'm wondering how often users would actually take advantage of the 3D screen. Thankfully, the phone is still reasonably priced, so getting your hands on one shouldn't be a problem.

Now that there are 3D features being built into everything from TVs to phones, tablets, portable gaming consoles, and pocket camcorders, are you buying into the trend?

Would You Watch a Music Festival From Home in 3D?

There's no doubt about it - music festivals are a big deal around the globe. This year, fans who couldn't make it to the annual Coachella Music and Arts festival were treated to some live streaming via YouTube, which brought their favorite artists' performances into their living rooms. Similarly, the UK's Isle of Wight Festival will be broadcasting live thanks to Sky Arts, but with an extra twist: 3D.

Starting on June 10, Sky Arts will be the first to broadcast two hours of 3D performances (including Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, and Pulp) during each day of the festival. Viewers will of course need to grab their own pair of 3D glasses and have a 3D-ready TV to fully enjoy the three dimensions of goodness, but tell me - would you even bother watching a music festival in 3D from home? Of course, there's nothing like being there to see the performances live (the pulsating music, the energy from the crowd), but I can't imagine that the 3D effects would significantly benefit viewership from home. What do you think?

AT&T Releases First US 3D Smartphone: LG Thrill 4G

AT&T is really trying to up the ante this week. The company already made news on Monday with its $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile; now it's earning bragging rights as the first US provider to offer a 3D smartphone.

The carrier says that its LG Thrill 4G will be out in the "coming months" and will feature a dual five-megapixel camera capable of shooting both 3D photos and high-definition 720p video. Also available to LG Thrill owners is a library of 3D content in the form of photos, video clips, and games by way of the "LG 3D Space." Other specs include a 4.3-inch display, dual-core 1GHz processor, 16GB of flash memory, and HDMI output. Based on what we know so far, it sounds like the LG Thrill is a version of LG's Optimus 3D, which is set to roll out in Europe sometime during the second quarter.

No word yet on how much the phone will cost, but I suspect it won't be cheap. I'm curious to see how the 3D technology affects the phone's battery life (a problem already plaguing the Nindendo 3DS), or if owners will be walking around with motion sickness, headaches, and blurry vision.

3D Couture: Shoes Printed For Your Feet

I'm inspired by fashion in general, but when you add a geeky twist, I get really excited. My latest obsession? 3D printed shoes. You know 3D printing - it's where you "print" an actual object layer by layer. You can make furniture, household items, nearly anything with a 3D printer.

Now, designer Naim Josefi has created a pair of sustainable 3D-printed shoes that fit the wearer perfectly. How does it work? A scanner analyzes your foot, then the dimensions are sent to a 3D printer to craft your 3D "couture" kicks. It seems you'll need some strong ankles to prevent from pulling a Gaga in these heels, but it's a pretty impressive process that allows you to enjoy the perfect fit (no more band-aids or blisters!), while you save the planet at the same time - the shoes are made from sustainable materials.
