We'd like to give a very special thank you to our Oscar sponsor Helio, who helped us bring you live red carpet coverage and just happens to be one of the coolest gadget makers around. To show our thanks for their sponsorship I hope you will check out their newly-launched slim and sexy phone that looks to be the new must-have in Hollywood - and not just because it's pretty.
The Heat is a gleaming slider phone with an electrostatic touchpad (think iPhone-like sleekness but available now!) that's chic, but has all the right geeky qualities.

The only thing that makes this 1996 Oscar nominated flick out-dated is the gadgets. Check out this pic of Jerry Maguire, played by Tom Cruise in the notorious show me the money scene with his three-fold flip cell with giant antenna. His main squeeze Dorothy Boyd, played by Renee Zellweger is shown here with her ghetto cordless phone and super thick laptop.

With our first year of Oscars madness under our belt, we couldn't help but recognize some tech savvy divas who took part in the festivities. Kimora Simmons was having a great time snapping some pictures with her super teeny digital camera at the Queen Latifah and Vibe Magazine Hollywood Pre-Oscar party. Meanwhile, Serena Williams was on the other side of the room shaking it up with friends while staying connected with her chic white Sidekick, which I'm still trying to figure out where she purchased.

For those lucky enough to win, The Oscar party continued at the Kodak Theater Governor's Ball after the show. They compared the sizes of their little gold men and basked in the general glow of each other. We don't blame them, so many of last night's winners waited for decades to get the recognition they deserve.

That's right folks; we finally got another peek at the iPhone! The ad was broadcast during last night's Academy Awards and features a ringing old-fashioned phone followed by a bunch of historical film and television characters answering it. The ad ends with the text "coming in June," which quite frankly is just too far away.

Starting around 2 pm today I'll be sitting on my couch with a glass of wine (hey, it's Sunday!) watching the Oscars pre-show and checking out Pop and Fab's live Oscars coverage. While I wouldn't change my flat screen or couch for anything, I am geeking out over this new iMedia chair. It may look like something you'd see in a hospital bedroom, but boy do its features pack a punch.

- Fab may have been checking out the hot messenger bag by La Rue that Andy carries in The Devil Wears Prada, but my eyes were locked on the Sidekicks that seemed to sneak into every single street scene in the movie.
- Helen Mirren is on everyone's list as a top contender for best actress - her old school phone is pretty snazzy too.
- My first celebrity crush and Oscar nominee Leo DiCaprio will be rocking the trendy Samsung Black Carbon Phone this Sunday. Swoon.
- The Departed is not only an Oscar nominated action-packed film with some of the greatest actors of our time, but it is also a gadget-packed movie featuring some of the most advanced technology of our time.
- The ladies of Dreamgirls busted out their tunes on an Electro-Voice from the '50s and early '60s and an old Neumann mic, which among others was perfectly accurate for the time.
- I'll never forget the scene where Little Miss Sunshine's Olive unleashes a scream more intense than a stampede of hundreds of people getting their hands on a Wii when she finds out she was accepted to the "Little Miss Sunshine" beauty and talent competition. Of course, the answering machine she yells at is Oscar worthy itself.
- Blood Diamond is set in 1990's Sierra Leone and filled with civil war and conflict, which Jennifer Connelly's character captures on a fancy Leica camera.
- Nominated for an Academy Award for cinematography Children of Men features some of my favorite things: Clive Owen, Sci-Fi and awesome gadgets.
- According to Borat, iPod minis are for girls.

In the hilarious Oscar nominated movie Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, Borat (played by Sacha Baron Cohen) is a TV personality from Kazakhstani TV who is sent to the United States to report on all aspects of American life. At the very end of the movie he says this funny quote about the iPod: "My neighbor Nushuktan Tulyiagby is still assholes. I get iPod, he only get iPod mini.

Nominated for an Academy Award for cinematography Children of Men features some of my favorite things: Clive Owen, Sci-Fi and awesome gadgets. The movie takes place in 2027, as humankind faces extinction and a government agent agrees to help transport and protect a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary of scientists.
My Buzzsugar spy tells me that in this scene a tech wiz teenager is zoned out and playing with this wild futuristic toy of some sort by just staring at it and flickering his fingers.
