Somewhere along the line, the designers in the USB memory stick arena decided that plain, colored sticks were out, and food-shaped thumb drives were in. This Cabbage USB Stick is the latest savory turned into a memory stick, completing a meal, perhaps, if you know, you like eating inedible peripherals that look exactly like food. Check out my widget below for all the fixings you need for a USB salad!
If you never got sick of the Chuck Norris Internet meme that was everywhere a couple years ago (you know, "Chuck Norris can slam a revolving door"), then you're due to enjoy the Chuck Norris dashboard widget.
It's free and for Macs only (apparently Chuck Norris hates Windows and Linux, so those versions don't exist. Just kidding. I think).
He's there to tell you that Chuck Norris can punch with a fist concealed in his beard, and that he can kill two stones with one bird, so best just to download the widget and then step away and let it be.
Need an Olympic fix daily, hourly, to the minute? NBC has whipped up a slew of widgets for you to follow all the action.
My favorite is the medal count — it tallies up the individual wins so you can see how where all the countries stand in their winnings. These widget can go just about anywhere. I keep mine on my dashboard so the information is only a click away. You can embed them on your MySpace page, or bookmark them. They are so cool. I must warn you though that keeping up with the headlines could spoil your nighttime Olympic viewing.
Fit's Tip: For all you Mac users out there, you need to have Leopard as your OS. These widgets may just be the reason to upgrade.
The online TV and movie streaming site Hulu has just launched some highly configurable widgets that can easily be embedded on your iGoogle page or on social networking sites like Facebook. With the widgets, you'll constantly get updates on the most popular or recently added videos, and you can even watch all your favorite vids from the widget, making it that much easier to watch TV while at work — shh, did I just say that?!
I'll be honest — I can't say that I know all the shortcuts and tips available to make my time in front of the monitor more efficient. I know, I know, shocking. But since I'm a fan of perpetual learning, I searched around, hoping to satisfy my thirst for knowledge, and find a place that would hook me up with some Mac-savvy tips to ease my computing confusion. Let's face it — I ain't to proud to beg! So when I checked out MacTips, and found that they have a smart and simple widget to send me a tip every day of the week, I was overjoyed!
Although you have many choices when it comes to choosing your Mac's dashboard widgets, I highly recommend downloading the MacTips Widget from – where else – MacTips. To see why it's one of my new faves, read more

I don't know about you, but after the Golden Globes Awards ceremony was officially canceled because of the writers' strike, I started going into award season withdrawal.
Thankfully the glitz and glam will be back in full swing with the 80th annual Academy Awards, which is set to air Sunday February 24.

So the holidays might be officially over, but that doesn't mean your stress has magically diminished. It takes me a while to get over all the running around, and I find that I'm still tense and have a million things on my mind. An easy way to relieve some of that extra baggage is to soak in a nice hot bath. Here are some things you can add to your tub to make your bathroom seem more like a spa:
Finding a personal lubricant that you like is a tough quest, since there are so many different kinds to choose from. There are silicone-based lubes, water-based ones, and many contain glycerin to make them even more slippery.
But is glycerin a bad thing? Well it depends on whether or not you are prone to yeast infections. You see, glycerin is a sugary liquid, and since yeast feeds on sugar, you can see why these two would make a bad combination. Look for a glycerin-free lubricant if your lady business is sensitive to this kind of thing.

Some runners are ecstatic when the summer heat waves goodbye and the crisp autumn air moves in. It's like free air-conditioning, because you bundle yourself up in lightweight layers for your run, and when you start to warm up, you just peel them off and the fall breeze cools you down.
Trail running is one of my favorite things to do in the fall. Since the air is so cold, you don't have to worry about voracious mosquitoes attacking you (that's why I don't trail run on hot days). You do need to watch the ground carefully though, since leaves may be covering hidden ditches, rocks and twigs. That always adds to the excitement though, and because there's so much to be aware of, there's no time to get bored.
Here are a few pieces of gear to make your fall trail running more enjoyable:
