The white iPhone 4 is finally here on AT&T and Verizon! But if you're not completely sold on the fair colored version, there's a few ways to get your white iPhone fix without paying full price (if you just got the black model you won't be getting any discounts), or switching from a BlackBerry or Android device you already know and love. Check out your options here!
While no one has yet complained of operational issues, it may mean bad news for case manufacturers as they would have to create three different sizes and shapes for the iPhone 4 (the Verizon model also has different button placement).
We've heard it all before: the white iPhone 4 is coming. But this time, we may actually have a solid release date: April 27. According to new inventory screenshots, the white iPhone 4 will be sold at Best Buy this Wednesday for $600. There are unconfirmed details about the models — said to be coming in both 16GB and 32GB flavors — as well as carriers — AT&T is a sure bet, while the availability of a Verizon CDMA variety is still unknown.
Though, I'm guessing that everyone who wants an iPhone probably already has one (or is waiting for an upgraded iPhone 5), and at this price, I'm wondering who will throw down? Tell me — are you buying a white iPhone 4 when it's released?
With the latest iPhone 5 rumors targeting a Fall release instead of the usual Summer, at least a white iPhone launch will give geeks something to look forward to, right?
I'm totally giving up. While I was still hanging on to my white iPhone 4 dreams by a thin thread, I can't hold out any longer. But that's not the only (sad) news regarding Apple though. Find out more about the rumored release date of the iPhone 5 after the jump.
For those of you who have been holding out for the white iPhone 4 (are there any of you left?), this bit of news may be the light at the end of the tunnel: according to new rumors, white iPhone 4 production will be kicked into overdrive this month, with shipments arriving to Apple Stores no later than early April. The signs have been adding up, but it seems a little funny to me that it's taken this long for the white model to become available since the white iPad 2 will hit shelves long before the white iPhone 4. Add in the rumored mock-ups of the ultra sexy iPhone 5, and I'm left wondering — who's going to throw down for the white iPhone 4 just months before the latest and greatest version is revealed? I guess the only way I'd take the bait is if Apple introduced it at a discounted price.
What about you — still holding out for the white iPhone 4 or are you waiting to get your hands on the 5?
We can safely assume that next week's Apple event is regarding the iPad 2. I mean, it doesn't get any clearer than the Apple press invite image, right? So what else can we expect to see at the event? One thing I'm hoping for is the reemergence of the white iPhone. Apple has said that we can expect to see the model debut this Spring, and there have been lots of signs as of late pointing to a release soon.
Here's the question though — are you still holding out for the white iPhone, or have you moved on to greener pastures?
Rumors about the white iPhone have been hot and heavy lately, and while there are plenty of ways to get your white phone fix without Apple's help, there's at least one person that is totally ready to throw down for the lighter hued model — me. I can't help it; I'm a sucker for white gadgets!
- App store shows off white iPhone 4 — Apple released its official iTunes App Store App back in October, complete with a white iPhone 4 placeholder.
- White iPhone 4 on eBay — While it's still unclear whether the white iPhone 4 purchased on eBay for $600 was real or fake, the fact that it's there (and fetching high prices) shows that demand is still hot.
- Verizon announces iPhone 4, includes white option — Although there were a few spec mix-ups during the Verizon iPhone 4 launch, the company briefly had a white color option on its website. Will the white iPhone 4 launch on Verizon instead of AT&T?

Not content on waiting until Spring, people who are holding out for the white iPhone 4 are taking measures into their own hands. Our community assistant recently posted a pic of her brother holding a white iPhone 4, and, no, he is not BFFs with Steve Jobs. This pic looks like the real deal, and her brother says that he bought the phone off of eBay.
My question is, where are these white iPhone 4s even coming from — another case of a Chinese copycat? While some are upfront fakes, most have been customized with a new front and back white cover that are available from a website in China, and seem a pain to install. (Maybe the people there can help Apple with the paint job issue?) The phones are unlocked, which means no warranty, and each hovers around the $600 range.
Our community assistant and I want to know: would you buy the white iPhone 4 off of eBay?
