It's been almost a week since Verizon customers started receiving their new iPhone 4s, and while I had some issues getting my mom's order in, there haven't been any major issues being reported by the new iPhone population. My mom did experience some minor issues in the first week — her Internet connection wasn't working (she had to call Verizon to get the Internet "switched on"), multiple dropped calls, and spotty reception when speaking with other Verizon users — they seemed to have subsided over the course of the week.

Waiting in line for a Verizon iPhone today? There will be some universal Apple bumpers available at the Apple Store for you to pick up on your way out, but if you want something a little more personalized, you're going to need to shop for a third-party case. Check out these five brands that are already producing some pretty sweet Verizon iPhone-compatible cases.
The Verizon iPhone 4 launch is just a day away! You've already traded in your current phone (either on eBay or through Verizon), ordered a case, and are pumped to get your hands on the newest iPhone model to hit the market.

Continuing the cash-for-iPhone trend first introduced by Verizon and then Target, eBay has now launched its own phone trade-in program, starting today and continuing through Feb. 22. While eBay's program covers a number of recently announced smartphones, customers will get the most cash for trading in a gently used AT&T iPhone 4 — a guaranteed $200 to up to $450 based on its condition, which is more than enough to cover the cost of a new Verizon iPhone, and even rivals Verizon's own trade-in program. An iPhone 3GS in good condition can net the user $200, and an HTC EVO 4G could get you as much as $200.

It's the first report I've heard of customers receiving their new phones, a full three days before they're available in stores — guess Verizon meant it when it said delivery via two-day air!

Verizon and AT&T have been battling it out for some time, but now that Verizon offers the iPhone, it's heating up. Exhibits A and B: two new iPhone-centric commercials, one from Verizon and one from AT&T.
The message from Verizon's ad is clear: the iPhone is awesome, and on the Verizon network it actually works. AT&T chose to highlight the one feature that its iPhone has that Verizon's does not: the ability to talk on the phone and browse the Internet at the same time.
After the break, check out both ads and cast your vote for which is best.

While Case-Mate was hot off the line with its Verizon iPhone-compatible cases, Incase is taking a different approach — a case that will allow full access to all the buttons, ports, and switches for both Verizon and AT&T iPhone models.
