Like my ongoing quest for the perfect jean, I am always on the look out for the perfect tees to go with my (fictional) perfect jeans. I think I may have found some that are near-perfect.

KStreet NYC seeks to find the perfect fit with their sizing that runs by bra size. Founder Kari Weiner measures her tees according to chest, waist and hip measurements. The pima cotton tees come in black, white and heather grey and are sized like bras, running from 30 A/B to 38 D/DD. I am kinda loving the Basic S/S Crew Neck ($65). But the tees come in four different styles and each style comes in eleven different sizes so you're bound to find your perfect tee, too. Then all you need is some standout jewelry and you're ready to shine.

Gap will be unveiling a limited edition artist t-shirt collection set to launch in select stores and online May 15th. In celebration of the 2008 Whitney Biennial, Gap has joined forces with top contemporary artists in producing limited edition artist tees. Some artists include Chuck Close, Jeff Koons, Marilyn Minter, and Kiki Smith with t-shirt designs ranging from political messages to colorful abstract confections. I especially like the bright burst on the Glenn Ligon tee. The classically Gap ad campaign was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin — Fab, as usual. Something to look forward to!

How do I love thee favorite white tee? We all have them, we all want them and apparently it's warm enough in LA that the starlets are wearing them with vigor. We love a white dress and a white tee has a similar effect — the feeling of freshness and comfort. Wearing your favorite white tee with jeans is a given, I say mix it up with a full skirt or easy breezy trousers. The possibilities are endless, that's what makes it oh so lovable.

But these days, Sundays can be a little more fanciful thanks to fancy tees. The Olsens have proven a Hanes V-neck can support a high fashion look, but a silk tee, a cool tee or a slightly ruched tee can do that too. It's fancy tee time.
