It's no surprise that Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are currently one of the desirable breeds out there. Not only are they beautiful dogs with regal shiny coats and big beautiful eyes, they're as sweet as can be! Cavalier King Charles are generally affectionate dogs with friendly dispositions. Most of the time, they are able to do well with other animals.

Wondering how the breed got its noble name? During the 16th century, a small type of spaniel was popular among the aristocracy in England. People believed these dogs could keep fleas away; others even believed that they could prevent forms of stomach illnesses. In any case, their namesake Charles II loved these little guys.
