Print Your Facebook Photos Directly From Kodak Kiosks

There's something to be said for printed photos.

There's something to be said for printed photos. Although I don't print my pics anymore — I keep them stored online — I know friends and family members who still like to print a photo or two. Thankfully, Kodak is making it easy to print your favorite social network pics right from their in-store kiosks.

Rolling out this year at stores like CVS and Target, Kodak's new kiosk software update will allow users to log into their Facebook and Picasa accounts, use some cool photo editing software — like image resize, pet red eye retouching, and spot-healing — and print out pics on the fly.

Logging into your accounts is easy, since you won't be signing into the full version of the sites — it will be a modified, photo-only version. Additionally, you'll be able to grab images from videos stored online! This is great news for Facebook fiends, but it's not the only easy way to print out your digital pics. Check out five more easy ways you can print your favorite photos after the break.

That's right, print directly from your Picasa albums to Walgreens — which was already my preferred photo printer because you can pick them up from a store right after you order them online, no shipping costs or waiting incurred.

And don't forget to adjust your settings in Content Control to allow visitors to order prints of your photos, so your family can feel the Walgreens love, too!

Geek Tip: Sizing Guide For Printing Photos

So you just arrived back from your weekend getaway and now you want to print some of your memorable moments.

So you just arrived back from your weekend getaway and now you want to print some of your memorable moments. Because you experimented with various camera settings and sizes, you are wondering what size to adjust the images to for printing. First things first: try to print your pics at a resolution of at least 240 dpi (dots per inch) as anything less could result in prints with a noticeable pixilated look. Keep in mind that the higher the resolution, the finer the printed image quality.
Here is a guide to help you figure out what size your images should be printed at.

Print Size Minimum Minimum
Width Height
4"x6" 800 600
5"x7" 1050 750
8"x10" 1536 1024
11"x14" 1750 1375

If you decide to print at 5"x7" or less on 8"x10" size photo paper, be sure to adjust your printer's driver settings to center the photo on the sheet of paper.
