Though we love sharing outfit and personal style peeks in our daily Instagram updates, it sometimes seems that particular medium doesn't make for the best fashion message.

Though we love sharing outfit and personal style peeks in our daily Instagram updates, it sometimes seems that particular medium doesn't make for the best fashion message. New iPhone app Trendabl is stepping up as the mobile social network devoted to images of all things fashion and style.

As with other photo-sharing apps, Trendabl users can upload images from their iPhone photo library or take a new picture to send to the app. Filter the photo to capture the dreamy essence of a Spring dress or the muted tones of rainy-day chic. Tag photos with the relevant brand, store, color, and price of the item shown.

The major difference between Trendabl and other fashion apps is the celebrity and brand presence from the get-go. Fashion influencers currently on Trendabl include the Olsen twins, Diane von Furstenberg, Whitney Port, Barneys New York, and Michael Kors, among others. Follow their updates to see what they're wearing, clothes they're crushing on, and recommendations to stay sartorially savvy.

It can even be used as a shopping search tool for those looking for a brand and street style inspiration. Get specific in your searches in the Trendabl app and discover which store or label carries your must-have leopard flats.

TechCrunch is reporting that there will soon be a new Facebook photo sharing feature that will combine some of the best photo apps out there today; mainly Instagram, Color, and Path, with a heaping layer of Facebook to pull it all together. The app, which was rumored to be in development for quite some time and will live inside the Facebook iPhone app, will basically give you a lot more photo features to play around with inside the app you already know. So what's new? Learn about some of the rumored features below!

  • Multiple photo capabilities — You'll be able to capture multiple photos at a time and upload them at once to your Facebook profile.
  • Geo-Tagging — You can add your location and events to photos, tag the friends you're with, and even see photos from other people in the same location, a la Color.
  • Add captions — As always, you'll be able to add captions to your pics, or sets of pics that you can upload as an album.
  • Likes and comments — You'll still be able to see all of the likes and comments your photos or sets will get, but the look will be more streamlined.
  • Filters — There is a section marked "Filters" in the leaked images, but no word on what kinds of filters will be added. This will be a big draw for mobile photo nerds who are addicted to using apps like Instagram and Hipstamatic.

Download of the Day: Color For iPhone and Android

Photos have been going social since the early days of Friendster (remember Friendster?), and now a new mobile app is taking social photography to another new high.

Photos have been going social since the early days of Friendster (remember Friendster?), and now a new mobile app is taking social photography to another new high. Color, available for iPhone and Android, allows users to create group photo albums, open to everyone to share. Users can take and share photos simultaneously to create a well-rounded view of any event or experience. Built-in text messaging capability keeps users connected.

There's no friending or following necessary like there is for other photo-sharing apps; connections are determined based on who you're with at the moment. Photos are shared with everyone in your vicinity, some even compare it to Twitter for photographs. Or, if you're in a crowded space, the app will create a subgroup containing you and the people you're with.

Download Color for free from the iTunes App Store or Android Market.

The iOS app runs on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad (using iOS 4.0 and above).
