Steal of the Day: Pottery Barn Maren Rug

I love the design of Persian rugs (especially one-of-a-kind pieces) but I'm not normally attracted to the red tones that are so often used in them.

I love the design of Persian rugs (especially one-of-a-kind pieces) but I'm not normally attracted to the red tones that are so often used in them. So, when I stumbled across the Pottery Barn Maren Rug ($149-$819), I was instantly won over by its porcelain blue and warm neutral palette, enhanced by its large floral and Persian border design. Yes, as with many Pottery Barn products, it's traditional, but there ain't nothin' wrong with that. I'd have a lot of fun mixing this rug up with some more modern pieces, like maybe an "industrial steel cabinet and a midcentury tufted sofa. Oh yeah, and did I mention that it's a steal!?
