Check out this Lego table, created using a basic Ikea table and a whole lot of Lego bricks. The creator used a Google Docs spreadsheet to determine the proper aspect ratio and number of Lego pieces it would take to finish the design.
After calculating the necessary amount and colors of pieces necessary, he ordered pieces from Lego and spent a Saturday with friends assembling the table and creating an awesome time-lapse video. I wonder which was harder to put together, the Lego top or the Ikea table itself? And what do you think of it?
Although it looks nice, mounting a flat panel TV above your fireplace can take years off of its life if you aren't careful. I guess if I can't have my dream Lego house, perhaps I can settle for a Lego kitchen instead? Created by Paris designers Simon Pillard and Philippe Rosetti, the Munchausen LEGO kitchen was made with an IKEA kitchen island base, which was then entirely covered with Scandinavian Lego pieces. The entire project took about a week to finish and certainly gives a plain white kitchen a bold new look. I've always wanted to paint my kitchen bright red, but maybe a Lego counter top would give it just the right amount of liveliness it needs!

Why do I like this Find a Face ($180) rug? Cause it reminds me of those fancy found object robots from Gordon Bennett I showed you last year. Yes, I'm still thinking about them. But there's just something overwhelmingly "kid-ish" about this rug that my little cousins (and my inner child) would totally dig.
It could be the blocks of red and yellow primary colors, or perhaps the fact that the rug itself is one big puzzle where you can find faces in everyday objects, which makes me feel young again. Who knows, all I know is it looks pretty dope sitting in front of that retro music player! What do you think?
