After learning that Jurassic feathers have been found in amber recently, we've had dinos on the brain! What could possibly be better than popping some corn and hitting "replay" on our old copy of Jurassic Park? Digging up fossilized bones ourselves! Of course, if you want to take a paleo-themed vacation and get your hands dirty at a dig site, you'll have to plan ahead — these vacations and dig expeditions generally run in the Summer. So grab a good hat, sunscreen, and shovel, and check out these dino dig packages you can do yourself.
Summer vacation isn't over yet — if you consider yourself a Star Wars fanatic, there are a few places around the globe that you should check off your "must-see" list before settling into Fall, starting with a trip to Industrial Light and Magic in San Francisco, CA. ILM is where some of the LucasFilm magic happens, and it also is the home of the famous Yoda fountain. Geeks from all around the globe travel to San Francisco's Presidio (previously a militarized area) to sit and soak up the knowledge of the little green Jedi, and it's not far from Skywalker Ranch in Marin county, where George Lucas himself has an office.

Sure, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Florence all sound good, but why not go somewhere made especially for Geeks? The pros: you won't be the only one in the room with more than one gadget, there's plenty of free WiFi, and zero anxiety about being disconnected. And after visiting all the spots on my list, you'll have earned yourself a Foursquare Jetsetter badge!
