My New Favorite Laptop Sleeves (I Can't Pick One!)

Every once in a while I come across an accessory that I absolutely adore.

Every once in a while I come across an accessory that I absolutely adore. This is one of those times — except there are five different designs, and I can't figure out which I like best. The latest line of laptop cases from ISIS are colorful and fun, but sophisticated at the same time. Ranging from $24 to $32 they're affordable, too. And besides serving as a protective sleeve and case, they hug your computer even while it's open.

If I had to pick a favorite, I'd choose the Goldfish design — a shimmery, gold, and white case for $32. Check out my five favorites; I challenge you to decide between them after the break!

The Original AppleSac Laptop Case

If you're into eco laptop bags you'll probably love the The Original AppleSac, $29.99, a burlap and polyester sherpa fleece case that makes your ungreen Apple a little more green.

I love the juxtaposition of the earthy AppleSac with a high tech computer, and the fact that the case cleverly disguises your computer instead of calling out the fact that you are carrying a $1,500 machine.

If you're looking for something with a little more color, check out the company's chocolate brown ColcaSac case, which is made of heavy 18.5 oz basketweave canvas, or the Peony Lace case, which is made of pretty reversible Peony Lace fabric.

Free People Sleeping Bag Laptop Cozy

I'm a fan of Free People's clothes with youthful colors and prints, so I was excited to learn the company also makes laptop sleeves.

The Sleeping Bag Laptop Cozy, $58, may seem like a silly idea given how hot most laptops get, but the material offers a unique look and trendy take on laptop transportation and is surprisingly breathable.

The best part is the cases are made from vintage sleeping bags, so they are even more green than their color.

The small size fits a 13-inch laptop, medium a 15-inch laptop and the large fits a 17-inch laptop.

Totally Geeky or Geek Chic? Repackaged Laptop Case

The last eco laptop bag I ran across certainly had solid commercial aspirations and great form, but Eoin McNally's Packaging for Re-use project offers a more humble approach to protecting your laptop the earth-friendly way.

The last eco laptop bag I ran across certainly had solid commercial aspirations and great form, but Eoin McNally's Packaging for Re-use project offers a more humble approach to protecting your laptop the earth-friendly way. The idea is people should recycle the cardboard that their laptops arrive in by reshaping them it into a protective carrying sleeve. The cardboard casing your computer ships in is treated with natural wax to protect it from spills and as an alternative to the usual polystyrene foam peanuts.
