AT&T changed its data plans over the Summer, and now Verizon confirms it's going to offer tiered data plans on its 3G-enabled smartphones, though some speculate that future customers on Verizon's 4G network will be able to enjoy unlimited rate plans.

Verizon's CEO says that he doesn't agree with AT&T's data rate plans, so Verizon's will likely differ, however, he didn't elaborate on any potential pricing plans. The new 3G data plans are expected to be rolled out in the next four to six months.
