The NUD Collection of cables and lights is an eye-catching group of textile-wrapped cables which come in different (read: fashionable) colors and textures, meant to draw attention rather than blend in.

There's plenty of ways to organize your cables when you're at home, but while you're on the go, wrap up those earphone cables with the Magneat Cable Organizer ($15).

The Magneat lets you wrap up extra cable while you've got your headphones on, and attaches to your shirt (or bag) like a pin. But get this — you won't have to damage your clothes with a pin prick since the Magneat attaches via a magnet. (Get it? Magneat?) There's plenty of designs to suit your tastes, but I happen to be partial to the Pixel Skulls here. So cute, yet so edgy.

Artist Maisie Maud Broadhead has come up with the most clever solution to those ever-pesky cables in our homes. Using cable fixings, she attached her lamp cord to the wall above her mantel, "drawing" a beautiful trompe-l'œil installation. I've seen plenty of ways to hide your cable cords — like the beads I posted this week — but this remedy doesn't conceal electrical wire, but rather showcases it, turning the eyesore into the eye-catching. This design in particular looks like it would require a fairly long cord, but the possibilities are really endless when it comes to what shapes you can create.

While there are many ways to hide your cable cords, this is perhaps the cutest one I've happened upon so far. It's also a really cheap option for adding a little decorating power to something that's most definitely an eyesore.
To try this at home, simply buy large wooden beads and string them over any exposed cords. An added bonus? It'll be a lot harder to trip over the cords, since it'll be easier to see them!

Like any jet-setting geek girl, I refuse to travel without all of my gadgets. But with a phone, iPod, camera, cords, and chargers, keeping gadgets organized and cords tangle-free is a challenge.

I'm in love with the Grid-It organization system ($25) from Flight001. Overlapping rubberized elastic bands offer easy storage for even the strangest-shaped objects, and the entire grid is perfectly sized to fit right into my laptop bag. There's even a zippered pocket in the back for storing other small items. Knowing my beloved gadgets are safe and secure means one less travel stress.

In the ongoing battle of human versus cord, there are many ways to manage cables.

I have possibly just found the cutest: Etsy seller bearduck has crafted these Cable Identifiers (8 bucks for a set of six) to keep each of your gadgets' cords separate.

The multicolored identifiers are made of a polymer clay, and sport little icons of what they belong to, so if you need to do anything with the plugs, your confusion is totally zapped.
