Video of the Day: Conan's Fond Atari Memories

This week, gamers learned the sad news that Atari filed for bankruptcy in the US.

This week, gamers learned the sad news that Atari filed for bankruptcy in the US. True, most of us likely haven't played an Atari game in decades, but the retro 8-bit look will never go out of style!

Naturally, no one is more upset about this than Conan O'Brien, who'll miss what could've been if Atari had made current pop culture legends into fast-paced games. Watch Harry Potter, Frodo, and James Bond get the pixel treatment below.

4 Reasons to Fear Your Future Nerd Overlords

Web Soup and Nerdist podcast host Chris Hardwick appeared on last night's Conan O'Brien where he broke down why nerds are taking over the world.

Web Soup and Nerdist podcast host Chris Hardwick appeared on last night's Conan O'Brien where he broke down why nerds are taking over the world. First nerds made it socially acceptable to get giddy over the latest Apple offerings and music-sharing service, and now they are taking over. Here are four reasons to fear the new nerd.

  1. "A jock will hit you; a nerd will ruin your credit."
  2. Nerds are dedicated enthusiasts to their favorite hobbies, so don't come between them and their favorite Comic-Con panel. As Conan and Chris recall, the gentle "click, click" of a mechanical pencil is not always innocent.
  3. Nerds aren't afraid to be themselves, and confidence is always appealing.
  4. They will hurt you with the funny. Expect long hours of being doubled over laughing hysterically.

We may have added the last one ourselves, but check out the full Conan interview after the jump for full nerd domination.

Full Episodes of Conan Will Air on TeamCoco.com

How much longer until the Conan premiere?

How much longer until the Conan premiere? Just a few days! This Monday, Nov. 8, my favorite late-night host returns to television after a required hiatus. While he's been off the airwaves he's been all over the Internet, and even though his new show is set to start, he plans to continue his online presence by broadcasting full episodes on the show's website the morning after they air.

No need to worry about Hulu, Netflix, or subscription fees at all . . . episodes will be completely free and available to all US viewers. So, he rides in a blimp, produces a hit TV show, and lets everyone on the Internet watch for free? Team Coco all the way!
