Check out this super stylish iPad case designed by Quince Studio in Austin, TX. The case was recently featured in a local magazine, and I fell in love! The case’s exterior is made from sustainable, solid American walnut. The inside is a hand-tooled, vegetable-tanned distressed brown leather, and it is fastened together with hand-set, antique brass rivets. This case is very hot yet functional! What more can you ask for?

I did this quick watercolor painting of my iPhone this weekend. What can I say? It's always by my side, and it never lets me down. A true (inanimate) friend.

GeekSugar Reader Shares Her Go-to Gadgets

Reader HannahNicole recently shared the gadgets she uses every day in the My Favorite Gadgets!

Reader HannahNicole recently shared the gadgets she uses every day in the My Favorite Gadgets! group:

When it comes down to it, I couldn't get through the day without a little help from my tech (friends). Right now, that means: my MacBook Pro and MacBook Pro remote, Blackberry, Blackberry Pearl, iPod Shuffle (old school), iPod Mini, and Cannon Powershot.

Nothing's too complicated, and I still haven't made the switch to an iPhone, but I couldn't get it done without these guys. I love that I can keep work separate from my personal life on two separate Blackberries. I also like to mix things up with the Shuffle and the iPod on the commute and at the gym — each one has totally different songs to get me going in the morning on the bus or after work when I hit the treadmill. My camera's become a constant companion around the city, and I really couldn't get anything done without my Mac. Not only do I work all day on my laptop, but since there's no TV in my room, my computer doubles as a little home theater — which is why I've also become fond of the computer remote!

Trinalina's Favorite Gadget: Logitech Squeezebox Radio

This post comes to us from our My Favorite Gadgets group member, trinalina: My favorite gadget, hands down, is my Logitech Squeezebox Radio.

This post comes to us from our My Favorite Gadgets group member, trinalina:

My favorite gadget, hands down, is my Logitech Squeezebox Radio. I got it originally because I'm a Rhapsody member, and loved the idea of listening to Rhapsody without leaving my laptop on, or killing my iPod Touch. I use it for so much more though! Facebook stream, Flickr stream, Pandora, and countless radio stations that I would have never found if I wouldn't have been messing around with the Squeezebox. There's also an app for my iPod so I can control it from other rooms. The music lover that I am could not live without this product!

My 5 Favorite Gadgets!

There are some gadgets you just can't live without.

There are some gadgets you just can't live without. For me, there are five of them! If you haven't waxed poetic about your favorite gadgets in our community group yet, then now's the time — take a snapshot of the five gadgets you can't live without and post them there, or just share your top five in the comments below. I'll round up some of my favorites — yours may be featured on GeekSugar!

  • iPhone 3GS — You've heard me go on and on about how my iPhone pwns, so it can't be denied that it's now an appendage, not just an accessory. My iPhone keeps me up-to-date on news, emails, and texts, but still lets me socialize on Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, and more.
  • Nintendo DS Lite — The go-everywhere console, my Nintendo DS has been around the world, keeping me entertained while on the road, or while chilling at home.

To see the rest of my five favorite gadgets, just read on.

Listen to Music and Make Phone Calls While You Ski

I'm not a skier, but most of my friends are, and I'm consistently jealous of all of the awesome geeky ski and snowboard equipment they have.

I'm not a skier, but most of my friends are, and I'm consistently jealous of all of the awesome geeky ski and snowboard equipment they have. I got a chance to try out the Radiance jacket, which keeps you warm and charges your iPod, but when my friend sent me a snapshot of his latest purchase, I had a total geek-out at my desk. It's a ski helmet outfitted with Skullcandy headphones and Bluetooth.

Now he'll be able to listen to music and answer the phone while hitting the slopes. To be honest, I think this is only a good idea if you're a fairly capable and focused skier (after all, some of us can't even walk and talk on the phone without an accident), but it's a pretty cool way to stay connected and entertained.

If, like me, you're more of a lodge-dweller than a ski bunny, check out these adorable knit headphone earmuffs.

Will the Nook Be Your Next Favorite Gadget?

We're still a few weeks away from the launch of the Barnes and Noble Nook ($259), but I have a feeling it could be in the running to become one of my new favorite gadgets!

We're still a few weeks away from the launch of the Barnes and Noble Nook ($259), but I have a feeling it could be in the running to become one of my new favorite gadgets! I loved the Kindle when it first hit the shelves, and the Nook is definitely stacking up to its eReader competition. Its sleek design, controls and touch screen just scream for someone to pick it up, while the accessories and designer covers make me drool.
