The Lonelygirl15 Era Draws To A Close

After a long-winded YouTube run, Jessica Lee Rose, who plays the main character Bree in the popular Lonelygirl15 videos, has decided to move on to bigger and better things.

After a long-winded YouTube run, Jessica Lee Rose, who plays the main character Bree in the popular Lonelygirl15 videos, has decided to move on to bigger and better things. The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that after more than a year and 260 episodes, 16-year old Bree was killed off by the religious cult that had chased her for the life-giving qualities of her rare blood type. This video marked the end of season one which was played out in 12 videos posted over a 12-hour period exclusively on MySpaceTV and the LonelyGirl15 website. Although Bree will no longer be a part of the show, the next season will be starting next week with the same title and remaining characters. You can check out the new episodes by visiting her myspace channel. And as for the famous Ms. Rose? She is developing a new web comedy that should be out by the end of this year and is pursuing more Hollywood acting gigs with co-stars like Lindsay Lohan. Webby Awards Draw Web And Hollywood Celebrities

One of my favorite geeky girls, Jessica Rose, walked last night's Webby Awards red carpet amid a mix of web and Hollywood celebrities.

One of my favorite geeky girls, Jessica Rose, walked last night's Webby Awards red carpet amid a mix of web and Hollywood celebrities. Rose, who is known to the world as YouTube phenomenon Lonelygirl15, will make her major film debut in the upcoming "I Know Who Killed Me" flick with Lindsay Lohan. I am pleased to say Rose already has her geek chic red carpet look down. I didn't make it to the ceremony - although geeksugar was an honoree! - but FabSugar rocked the house by paying homage to Chanel in her acceptance speech.

David Bowie accepted the Webby Lifetime Achievement Award and my faves Mike Diamond, Adam Yauch and Adam Horovitz of The Beastie Boys made a rare appearance.

The creators of Lonelygirl15 have teamed up with Bebo to bring you a new UK spinoff series called- Lonelygirl15 presents...KateModern. This new show will debut in July with several weekly episodes available exclusively to Bebo users in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

According to 901 am, this new internet drama "will expand from the original storyline to that of a teenage university student in London and her struggle to balance her complex social life with the dark forces that shadow her." Basically the show will have similar elements from LL15 and give fans the opportunity to become very involved- by posting comments, giving show feedback and uploading their own videos to characters' profile pages.

Yay to this. Maybe it's just me, but I am totally getting sick of the whole Lonelygirl thing. Hopefully this show can steal some of its exhausted thunder. Hmm, I wonder if it will have a new and improved version of Daniel the Beast in its plotline.

Lonelygirl15 Co-Stars With Lohan in I Know Who Killed Me

The queen of YouTube Lonelygirl15 is now riding the waves of stardom by landing big movie deals.

The queen of YouTube Lonelygirl15 is now riding the waves of stardom by landing big movie deals. Jessica Rose (aka LG15) scored a small part alongside Miss Lindsay Lohan in the movie I Know Who Killed Me, a movie about a young woman who is rescued after being abducted and tortured by a serial killer.

Here's what Jessica had to say on her myspace page about the movie:

"I filmed my first scenes not long ago and was introduced to Lindsay, and from what I saw she is not how the press portrays her. In my opinion she seemed very sweet and funny and absolutely beautiful! Anyway, I am also going to be starring in the movie The Perfect Sport and I believe it'll be out by the end of 07 but thats not a promise!"

Seems like her YouTube stint as being a quirky, innocent school girl has opened some hollywood doors. I'm sure we'll be seeing alot more of her in the future.
