Beats Electronics' new wireless, Bluetooth-compatible stereo is a direct competitor to the bestselling Jambox Smartspeaker by Jawbone, the rectangular speaker box available in multiple colors. Both cordless audio devices broadcast music and phone calls from iOS and Android smartphones and include a built-in mic for conferencing.

When Jawbone expanded its products from headsets to speakers, audiophiles swooned. On Aug. 28, Jawbone is introducing Jambox the Remix ($199), personalized versions of the palm-sized speaker available in 100 color combinations. Today, Jawbone introduced its Jambox, the first music player to come from the mobile communications company.
