- Modern Resume: A very modern and clean looking resume that has a simple design. It doesn't look too cluttered up and has just the right professional touch.
- To Do List: When you're job hunting, you're going to have a neverending to do list for things like reaching out to contacts, going to events, sending resumes to a certain company. Keep your job search tasks organized in this Google template.
- Job Interview One-Sheeter: This is a great, great interview tool that will help you prepare. It's nice to have all your points located on a single sheet of paper so you can make sure you're covering all your bases. It's also handy because you can print it out and quickly look over for a refresher before an interview.
- Networking Tracker: To keep track of the many people you'll come in contact with while networking for a job, use this sheet to stay on top of things. Note: Although the preview doesn't seem to be working, the template still downloads and works fine.
Thankfully, Google has taken notice and has rolled out 20 wedding templates within Google Docs to utilize during your wedding planning. Manage your guest lists, catering, and flower details, and even set up email templates to get updated contact info from your guests so you get those (sometimes pricey) invitations into the right hands. The best part is, if you're away from home and meeting with vendors, you can access your docs from your smartphone, with the latest and most recent info there at your fingertips.
Just like Gmail labs, Google is always adding fun and useful template ideas to Google Docs. The latest ones that caught my eye are the workout templates, which were designed by fitness expert Karon Karter.
What I love about these docs is the fact that you can track your own individual progress, or you can share your progress with a trainer or running group — just like 6-pack achiever Larry did with this fitness tracking spreadsheet that he shared with his workout buddies — how awesome is that spreadsheet?!
Why spend a small fortune on things like holiday cards, gift tags, and festive mail labels when you can get them all for free on Google Docs? Google Docs offers a great selection of holiday templates that include the holiday snowflake postcard, address labels, holiday gift tags, and video card templates. And if you're like me and you need an updated address list for friends and family members, there's even a template that makes it easy to gather addresses. Just sign in to Google Docs and click on any of the above links to get started, or click on File, then New, then Holiday to see all of the ones you can choose from.
And for gift ideas, make sure you head on over to HolidaySugar!
Did it ever blow your mind when you first started using Google Docs, and you watched your friends edit the document at the same time you were viewing it (it obviously did mine)? The only thing that has never blown my mind is the bare-bones look of the docs.
Sure, they got the job done, but I would never deny I wanted something pretty to look at. Yes we can, says Google — they've released templates for Google Docs so that not only will your spreadsheets and lists look great, you'll be able to design business cards, resumes, invitations, announcements, anything!
