Geek of the Week: Ryan Johns aka the iBoy Boy

Unlike most of our Geeks of the Week, Ryan Johns isn't a celebrity - yet - but he recently caught my attention after he turned his Gameboy into an iPod - or rather, cleverly fit his iPod into his Gameboy and figured out a way to make it all function.

Unlike most of our Geeks of the Week, Ryan Johns isn't a celebrity - yet - but he recently caught my attention after he turned his Gameboy into an iPod - or rather, cleverly fit his iPod into his Gameboy and figured out a way to make it all function. Ryan is sophomore in college, studying architecture and math in New York City. "I like to make things," Ryan told us. "I like new projects and new problems."

Jenna Fischer

Geek Of The Week: Jenna Fischer

The Office star Jenna Fischer is more chic, than she is geeky, but she deserves major props for her role on the hilarious show and for putting up with the mostly-male and outlandishly geeky cast.

The Office star Jenna Fischer is more chic, than she is geeky, but she deserves major props for her role on the hilarious show and for putting up with the mostly-male and outlandishly geeky cast. She also deserves kudos for her fun and geeky office antics as Pam Beesly, who better end up with hottie Jim Halpert or I'm planning a geek uprising.

Jenna, who was voted No. 37 in People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful issue of 2006, was actually a receptionist in real life too. She apparently worked in various offices and types 85 words per minute with 90% accuracy. Could be better, but could be worse - still geek chic.

Geek Of The Week: Richard Rubin

Watching a few two many episodes of the new Beauty of the Geek season this weekend reminded me of my all time favorite geek, Richard Rubin.

Watching a few two many episodes of the new Beauty of the Geek season this weekend reminded me of my all time favorite geek, Richard Rubin. Last season on the show the fumbling geek admitted he had never kissed a girl and showed that even when you've make it on a primetime show, you're not always guaranteed a stylist.

While the show is so contrived it's painful, I still get a kick out of its hilarious sound bites, starting with Rubin's revelation "I was once accosted by a Hungarian stripper. She had a purple shawl and we were there. I started talking about the 1956 Hungarian uprising. The only uprising was in my pants." Yikes!

Geek Of The Week: Masi Oka

Though he didn't take home a statue at Monday's Golden Globe Awards, Masi Oka, who is the star of NBC's Heroes is my pick for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, and my pick for geek of the week.

Not many people know this, but Oka graduated Brown University in 1997 with degrees in mathematics and computer science and a minor in theatre arts. When he was 12, he was on the cover of the August 31, 1987 issue of Time magazine titled "Those Asian-American Whiz Kids," because he has an IQ of 180-plus. My favorite part about Oka? After getting his acclaimed role on Heroes he told reporters he's still driving his 2000 Honda. Talk about a humble geek!

Rachael Leigh Cook

Geek Of The Week: Rachael Leigh Cook

I can hear it now, Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer playing while Freddie Prinze Jr. kisses Rachael Leigh Cook in She's All That.

I can hear it now, Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer playing while Freddie Prinze Jr. kisses Rachael Leigh Cook in She's All That. Freddie who plays the character of high school hotttie Zach, makes a bet with a friend to turn geeky Laney Boggs (played by Rachael) into prom queen. I dunno, I thought Laney was ultra cool before the transformation when she was artsy and had a unique funky style!

Geek of the Week: John Francis Daley

John Francis Daley played the ultimate geeky kid, Sam Weir, on the short lived but wonderful Freaks and Geeks.

John Francis Daley played the ultimate geeky kid, Sam Weir, on the short lived but wonderful Freaks and Geeks. The little brother of the show's main character, Sam was all about morals, manners, action figures and Saturday Night Live. Though the show is set during the 80's when computers were new on the scene, there are plenty of techie jokes to go around.

My favorite thing about the Sam character is that unlike most nice guys, he finishes first. He may be awkward about his crush on the school cheerleader, but he's actually cool enough to win her attention. Got some geek photos of your own? Geek of the Week: Molly Shannon

There really is no other female character that embodies awkward high-school geekiness with the same humor, wit and boldness of Molly Shannon's Catholic schoolgirl, Mary Katherine Gallagher.

There really is no other female character that embodies awkward high-school geekiness with the same humor, wit and boldness of Molly Shannon's Catholic schoolgirl, Mary Katherine Gallagher. She's funny, smart, vulnerable and just plain outrageous.

Brittany Murphy

Geek Of The Week: Brittany Murphy

Go back, way back.

Go back, way back. Twelve years to be exact, when Brittany Murphy was not all glitz and glam and played Tai Fraiser in the popular '95 chick flick Clueless. Before being transformed with a make-over from prissy girls Cher and Dionne, Tai was a plain Jane geeky gal who had just arrived from the east coast.

Geek Of The Week: Chelsea Clinton

From studying at Stanford and graduating with a history degree to completing a Master's degree in International Relations from Oxford Chelsea Clinton has endured her share of geekiness over the years.

From studying at Stanford and graduating with a history degree to completing a Master's degree in International Relations from Oxford Chelsea Clinton has endured her share of geekiness over the years. Who can forget her nerdy style and bad hair do's which forced her to become a prime target for scrutiny? Chelsea is one geek who represents the 75 percent chicness that's required to be named a geeksugar Geek of the Week. The strength she possessed during her father's impeachment, her constant schmoozing with celebs, a new job at Avenue Capital Group (aka bling bling), and the fact that she was named in honor of Joni Mitchell's classic hit 'Chelsea Morning' song, proves Chelsea's all around chic factor!

Geek Of The Week: Jon Heder

Napoleon Dynamite is by far one of the coolest cats in the nerd world.

Napoleon Dynamite is by far one of the coolest cats in the nerd world. Played by Jon Heder in the hit movie Napoleon Dynamite, Napoleon was the stereotypical dorky downer dude who had no friends and was constantly teased. As geeky as he was, it was impossible not to love this guy who managed to keep his dignity intact throughout all his trials and tribulations. With bow hunting skills, nunchuck skills and computer hacking skills, this guy is a serious catch - "Gosh!"
