Huzzah . . . the 10th Time Lord is back! BBC announced that Ten, played by David Tennant, is returning for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special, which began filming this week.

The official Doctor Who Twitter handle shared this victorious shot of David and present Doctor Matt Smith, after finishing the read through for the special episode.

And what's a doctor without his companion? Billie Piper, who played the ninth and 10th Time Lord's companion, Rose Tyler, will also be appearing in the 50th anniversary special. Legendary British actor John Hurt, of Harry Potter and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, is joining the star-studded Doctor Who cast as well, although it's unclear what his role will be.

We don't know when the special will air, but we do know that we'll be tuning into BBC America every Saturday to watch the second half of season seven!

Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, stars of BBC's Sherlock, kept it professional during a read-through of the show's third season, which premieres Fall 2013. Cumberbatch also revealed that our favorite Sherlock duo would be reprising their roles for a fourth season!

Production and filming of the new Sherlock episodes are in full swing, and we can't wait to how director Steven Moffat's mysterious tease words ("Rat. Wedding. Bow.") for series three — as they say in the UK — will play out.

But don't fret, fans of geek TV! You don't have to wait until September to watch your favorite shows on the small screen. This month marks the return of Doctor Who, who is ready to take your interstellar call on March 30 at 8 p.m. EDT on BBC America.

And don't forget about the Iron Throne-hungry cast of Games of Thrones, who will continue to deceive and pillage for power and dominance starting March 31 on HBO.

These happy campers were spotted outside Apple's flagship store in New York City on Thursday — a full eight days ahead of the phone's Sept. 21 release — now that's some serious brand loyalty. But considering how the iPhone 5 has already become Apple's fastest selling preorder of all time and now has a two-week wait online, these superfans might have the right idea.

What was one of your favorite sights from this year's Comic-Con?

Board game geeks and street art enthusiasts alike will love the Monopoly-themed art found in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood. From a sidewalk painted as a property card to a pile of plywood Chance cards, the installations by Bored are an impressive nod to the classic game, and an interactive twist on what have become street art standards — sidewalk stencils and wheatpaste posters.

Where's that we're visiting? An elegant take on futuristic city life with skyscrapers rivaling today's most prestigious architectural wonders? That "street" is actually a pipe organ, part of a new advertising campaign for the Berlin Philharmonic.

With art direction by photographer Bjoern Ewers, the advertisements are macro photographs highlighting the inner beauty of instruments, no sound required. Beyond the pipe organ, the Philharmonic's ad campaign includes views from the interior of a violin, cello, and flute. We'd love to make like the characters of The Secret World of Arrietty for a day and curl up inside these tiny confines.

Like a little bling on your tech? Apparently, so does Lil Wayne. He was spotted courtside at the 2012 NBA All-Star Game last night wearing these diamond-studded Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. Celebrity style with celebrity-style prices, I bet.
