New Fable II Goodness in the Form of Knothole Island

Yes I am still pretty obsessed with Fable II, months after it hit the shelves, but it's pretty rare that I find a game I can get this into and keep playing.

Yes I am still pretty obsessed with Fable II, months after it hit the shelves, but it's pretty rare that I find a game I can get this into and keep playing. So hear me out: Lionhead Studios released a downloadable expansion called Knothole Island that lets you explore a new area of the game. It's like it's brand new all over again!

I took a peek around just the other day and found new weapons and potions to use in battles and quests. Plus, there's some amazing weather going on over there. The expansion comes in at $10 bucks, but for the replay value of this game, it's totally worth it. Check out some screenshots below.

Best of 2008 Winner: Favorite New Video Game

What isn't there to love about your favorite game of 2008, Wii Fit?

What isn't there to love about your favorite game of 2008, Wii Fit? It's been proven to amp up your fitness level, and even help you become more flexible and shed pounds in the process. And although I can't deny the benefits of Wii Fit, I'm going to have to stray away from the pack here and give my 2008 Sugar Award to Fable II.

Not only was I completely obsessed with this RPG the second it hit my Xbox 360, but I continued to be obsessed with Fable II long after I finished the game. The open-world play, moral dilemmas, and awesome fighting sequences is what kept me coming back for more. . . and what makes me want to play it all over again. Plus, with over 350,000 copies being sold on launch day alone, I'm guessing there are more than a few of you out there that agree with me!

And hey, don't forget to check out the rest of the Sugar Network's Best of 2008 winners!

Fable II Early Impressions: Are You Playing Yet ?!

Although Fable II and Little Big Planet were supposed to be released on the same day (causing some major headaches for yours truly on which to play first), I was a bit relieved to find that one of them would be delayed, causing my game crunch to disappear for the time being.

Although Fable II and Little Big Planet were supposed to be released on the same day (causing some major headaches for yours truly on which to play first), I was a bit relieved to find that one of them would be delayed, causing my game crunch to disappear for the time being.

Now, the much anticipated sequel to 2004's Fable will keep me happily occupied until LBP hits shelves on Oct. 27. Not that Fable II should be looked at as a place saver — it's an amazing game on its own, and I'm totally loving it! I got my hands on a copy of Fable II a few days ago, and I haven't been able to stop playing since. Seriously — I was up till 1:30 a.m. yesterday morning.

Although I have barely skimmed the surface of this massive world, I do have a few thoughts on the game already. To find out what they are, just read more
