Pretty For Spring: Case-Mate's Kayla iPhone Wristlet

Sure, I'll extol the benefits of a large bag to tote your gear, but sometimes smaller is better.
Case-Mate iPhone Clutch

Sure, I'll extol the benefits of a large bag to tote your gear, but sometimes smaller is better. Case in point: the Case-Mate Kayla Wristlet ($48) with a dedicated pocket to tote your iPhone (or similarly sized smartphone).

It comes in four bold colors, with a canvas and leather exterior and wrist strap. Inside, a zipper pocket, money pocket, two credit card slots, and an ID window for keeping all of your essentials neatly organized. If you're not sold on the canvas, there's also a leather option for $58. Click through the slideshow to take a closer look.

Snap Together an iPhone 4 Case All Your Own

If you thought Case Mate's Stack Case for the iPhone 4 was great, check out the Quartet Case ($35), a similarly designed case for your iPhone 4 that comes in mix-and-match, snap-together pieces.

If you thought Case Mate's Stack Case for the iPhone 4 was great, check out the Quartet Case ($35), a similarly designed case for your iPhone 4 that comes in mix-and-match, snap-together pieces. Like the Stack Case, the Quartet Case was also conceived by industrial designer Erik Arlen.

Each case comes with six pieces to create an evolving look for your phone, and four different color combinations are available. For now, this case is only available for the AT&T iPhone 4; stay tuned for a Verizon version.

I'm (of course) partial to the orange hues but love that purchasing more than one set will allow for even more creative color combinations.

A Completely New Take on an iPhone 4 Case From Case Mate

When it's on your phone, it looks like an ordinary case, but the iPhone 4 Stacks Case ($35) from Case Mate is anything but ordinary.

When it's on your phone, it looks like an ordinary case, but the iPhone 4 Stacks Case ($35) from Case Mate is anything but ordinary. Designed by artist Erik Arlen, who wanted to encourage customization and interaction, these cases aren't the first DIY case from the manufacturer, but it might be my favorite.

The case features six interchangeable sections that are stacked to form one solid case. The finished look is slim, modern, and protective. It's available in three different color combinations that can be mixed and matched (if you buy more than one, that is) to create a completely customized look.

Check out a how-to assemble video after the break.

New Cases For Verizon iPhone 4 Users

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, you should know by now that the iPhone 4 will be coming to Verizon on Feb.

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, you should know by now that the iPhone 4 will be coming to Verizon on Feb. 10. Not only does the Verizon iPhone come with some internal changes, like the new CDMA cellular chip, but since the antenna has been rearranged, the iPhone's volume and mute buttons have been pushed slightly farther down the body of the phone. This means that any AT&T iPhone user that plans on switching to the new Verizon model will probably want to buy new cases. Bummer.

Good news is, Case-Mate is on top of things with its new line of Verizon-specific cases. Ranging in price from $15 to $35, you can get brand-new designs and styles to keep your (fragile) iPhone in tip-top shape. Check them out in the gallery below, and expect these cases to hit stores sometime this month.

Case-Mate Releases New iPhone 4, iPad Cases

When it rains, it pours!

When it rains, it pours! There's been an onslaught of iPhone 4 cases since the launch earlier this Summer (which is to be expected, right?), and now Case-Mate is jumping in the pool head first with a few new lines of their own, which include radiation-reducing designs, and high-end cases for the iPhone and iPad alike, which spawn from new partnerships with Nordstrom.

First up, the lush Venture Case for iPad and Barely There Case for the iPhone 4, which were both made in partnership with Nordstrom. The Venture iPad case is portfolio-style, and flips open to create a stand for your tablet. Barely There offers protection from the harsh outside world with a hard shell, but keeps you on the leading edge of trends with the vibrant colors and snakeskin texture. Also from the Nordstrom partnership is the Bumper-like Hula Case, which is open in the front and back to give your iPhone 4 some breathing room, but protects the edges of your device with impact-resistant materials.

Find out more about the new radiation-resistant Bounce series, and Pop! lines when you read more.

Case-Mate Hug Charges Your iPhone Without Wires

For me, Spring cleaning means ripping out that rat's nest of cords behind my desk and getting a fresh start with minimal cable interference.

For me, Spring cleaning means ripping out that rat's nest of cords behind my desk and getting a fresh start with minimal cable interference. Thankfully, there's a new wireless charger on the block that will help me keep things neat and tidy. Like the Powermat before it, the Case-Mate Hug ($100) charges your iPhone without all those nasty wires and cords. Sure, it won't charge your BlackBerry or your PSP, but it will do the job for your iPhone 3G or 3GS. The sleek aluminum Case-Mate Hug comes with two elements — the slim, form-fitting, and shock-absorbing iPhone case, and the pad, which transfers power to the case via magnetic fields to juice up your smartphone. The coolest part about this pair? The pad uses "smart charge" technology to only charge your phone till it's 100 percent full, then stops pulling power to save you some cash.
