You got got, as the Entourage boys would say. April Fool's Day tricks were everywhere on the Internet, from Virgin and Google pledging to fly you to Mars, to Gizmodo's use of Mr. T in every single post.

I loved it — doesn't it seem like IRL, no one does any pranks anymore? I guess geeks are the most fun-loving — and the most gullible! Did you get punk'd?

Super Pii Pii Brothers Game: Love It or Leave It?

Brought to you by Think Geek, this hilarious April Fool's Day Wii game is both unbelievable and ingenious.

Brought to you by Think Geek, this hilarious April Fool's Day Wii game is both unbelievable and ingenious. Super Pii Pii Brothers is literally a strap-on Wii harness attachment for you to have a "virtual Wiing experience" hence, the video accompaniment. Object of the game? Get as much pee in the toilets as you can while spilling as little on the floor as possible — hot right?! That's what I said! Now the spraying of the cat is a tad baffling. But I love how you can pee in over 100 different bathrooms — time to get your pee on! Now if it were real, would you love it?

Yesterday Google announced the launch of Google TiSP (BETA), a free in-home wireless broadband service that delivers online connectivity via users' plumbing systems, as their big April Fool's Day joke. The Toilet Internet Service Provider (TiSP) project was described as a "self-installed, ad-supported online service that will be offered entirely free to any consumer with a WiFi-capable PC and a toilet connected to a local municipal sewage system."

Here's more:

"We've got that whole organizing-the-world's-information thing more or less under control," said Google Co-founder and President Larry Page, a longtime supporter of so-called "dark porcelain" research and development. "What's interesting, though, is how many different modalities there are for actually getting that information to you - not to mention from you."

Can't wait to hear how many people clicked on the link.

Can You Believe It? I Just Got An iPhone!

Okay, so I didn't - I just had to take my shot at the cheapest April Fools' joke of the year.

Okay, so I didn't - I just had to take my shot at the cheapest April Fools' joke of the year. I can move on now. One thing is for certain, geeks love April Fools' Day and pranks. On April 1, 2003 CNN reported that Bill Gates had been assassinated. This news quickly spread, infiltrating Chinese and South Korean websites and had people freaking out everywhere. Not too many people found this joke funny, as 1.5 percent was wiped off Microsoft's stockmarket shares. Beware as today your e-mail inbox might be bombarded with spam and potential viruses. Try not to open or download anything that looks suspicious and be very cautious about sending out personal information like credit card information through email. It's not that there is any one particular scam you should be worried about, just that it's one of those days where scams seem more likely than usual. If you want to pull some harmless yet hilarious computer pranks this year, go to downloadable computer pranks or April Fool Zone where you'll find lots of great computer and online hoaxes. RJL Software also has a Fool's Tools CD-ROM collection which is packed full of hilarious computer tricks, like Mouse Mayhem and the add/remove programs prank which opens a fake window to trick the user into thinking all of their programs are being uninstalled. There might be some limitations as to how far you can go with advanced antivirus programs, but they're still worth a try!

Geeks Pranks In Time For April Fools' Day

Wired magazine couldn't be more correct: Geeks love April Fools' Day.

Wired magazine couldn't be more correct: Geeks love April Fools' Day.

It's a day to take advantage of non-geeks by playing with their computers, printers and phones, changing their computer background to a photo of Sanjaya or prank call them from a blocked number a bagillion times. What's the best way to get under your friend's and enemy's skin?

The best geek pranks involve making a gadget or a piece of software appear "broken." Since the tech savvy will quickly notice these pranks, they are best performed on the inept, the perpetually preoccupied and the woefully unaware. I'd recommend starting with the suits in marketing or the over-50 guy who refers to his workstation as his "confuser." Actually, anyone who frequently steps away from his or her desk for any more than 90 seconds should be considered fair game.

While my favorite holiday falls on a Sunday this year you can still celebrate it! How are you gonna get your friends? Share your ideas below.
