A section of the floor at Macworld is devoted to mobile apps for iOS. This year was dominated by iPad apps, including a soon-to-be-launched cooking app called Appetites is worlds apart from the rest of the pack. Instead of flat, hard-to-understand instructions, the app contains short, step-by-step directives supplemented with video.
There are plenty of cooking apps for both iOS and Android devices, but this is one of the best I've seen. Take a look at some of the app's highlights, and look for it in the iTunes store next month, where it will sell for $5.
