She may not have won the presidency, but Hillary Clinton's leadership as Secretary of State has garnered her your appreciation and the Sugar Award for favorite powerful woman of 2009.

While she spent the better part of 2008 campaigning across the US, this year Hillary campaigned for America's interests around the world. When asked why she's such an inspiration to women, Hillary told Vogue:

"Well, I don't really understand it myself. . . . So many women feel like I'm on their side. I somehow, through my life or their perception of me, give them courage to do things. And I think it's also that, whether I am meant to or not, I challenge assumptions about women. I do make some people uncomfortable, which I'm well aware of, but that's just part of coming to grips with what I believe is still one of the most important pieces of unfinished business in human history — empowering women to be able to stand up for themselves."

I can't wait to see what next year has in store for Hillary!

The Office

Most Realistic Work-Based TV Show

Work-based comedy and drama TV shows help us escape the madness of our own daily grind and make us feel like our real-life offices are completely boring.

Work-based comedy and drama TV shows help us escape the madness of our own daily grind and make us feel like our real-life offices are completely boring. Still, you gotta admit some aspects of these shows aren't totally off base. It's no shocker to me that 49 percent of you voted The Office as your favorite work-based TV show of the year. Sure, sometimes the antics and characters on the show are beyond silly, but we all know co-workers who exhibit little inklings of Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Angela Martin, Jim and Pam Halpert and the rest of the gang. Here's hoping your workplace isn't as dysfunctional as The Office in 2010!

The Year's Favorite Male Chef

With the debut of Top Chef Masters and a second season of the Next Iron Chef, it was a great year for male restaurant chefs.

With the debut of Top Chef Masters and a second season of the Next Iron Chef, it was a great year for male restaurant chefs. When we asked you who your favorite was, the results were across the board. Food Network kings Bobby Flay and Alton Brown came in with 19% and 21%, respectively. But it was Rick Bayless, the champion of Top Chef Masters, who took home the majority and 28% of your votes. With his approachable attitude and love for authentic Mexican cuisine, we have to agree: Rick Bayless was our favorite chef of 2009, too. Rihanna Street Style Outfits

You witnessed her fashion metamorphosis and now it's time to focus on Rihanna's celebrity style. You all voted Rachel Bilson, but 2009 has been Rihanna's most fashionable year. She's rocked out every red carpet, every sidewalk, every party. No matter how busy she is — and she's had a busy year — she always finds time to look damn good. What's more, she's not afraid to experiment, making it super fun to follow her. She had a chaotic start but she's ending 2009 with a huge bang.

Best of 2009: Favorite Stylish Mom-to-Be

While there were many deserving contenders for the most stylish mom-to-be in 2009, there is only one winner.

While there were many deserving contenders for the most stylish mom-to-be in 2009, there is only one winner. Beating out models Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum, and Camila Alves, as well as maternity clothing designer Nicole Richie, Sarah Michelle Gellar was voted favorite fashionable expectant mama. Her hubby Freddie Prinze Jr. was crowned favorite new dad of 2009, so it seems fitting that his lovely wife would be awarded as well.

The star of Buffy certainly had a glow about her during her pregnant months, and she outfitted her bump beautifully with flowy frocks and flattering workout attire. Keeping her look fresh and natural, she made pregnancy seem all too easy and enjoyable.
