Oh Apple, how can we ever quit you? As much love as there is for Apple, it get a little frustrating when the tech giant releases a great product, then comes out with an even better one just a few months later. How can consumers ever keep up?! This fact is especially true when it comes to iPods. We've seen so many iterations of the famous MP3 player hit the shelves, that you may have forgotten where it all started. As we eagerly await the arrival of the new iPod Touch and Nano — pre-order beginning today, Sept. 14 — take a trip down memory lane with a look at the models from the past 11 years.

I really miss the buttons on the iPod non-Touch models.

My first iPod was a lime green Mini in '05 than I upgraded to a '07 Classic after the Mini finally played its last song before fading to the Apple afterlife (I've kept it as a souvenir :) ). The Classic is still alive and kickin' and as of now, I have no reason to get another. Though the possible new models look extremely nice.

I love my iPod!! I've had the same one since 2005 & I really can't justify any reason to get a new one. Mine is one of the oldest we have in the house lol but I can't trade it in for a new one when I have so much memory on mine!! I would love an iPad & an itouch but those are just wants... I'm a happy camper with my buddy =)

We have a bunch of ipods in our house!I bought an iPod Classic two years ago (80 GB) and I love it, and over the summer I bought a refurbished iPod touch second gen, and I'm also in love with thatMy mom took my brother's old iPod nao (first gen) after he got the same iPod Classic I have. My other brother has a shuffle, and my father has a first gen iPod touch.We all love our iPods! :) but my mother is complaining about the lack of space in her nano. She really needs one of the new 160 GB iPod Classics to hold enough music for her.

I have a friend who has the old schoolie iPod and uses it religiously. It's kind of LOL-worthy when compared to its current size. Like the Zack Morris cell phone versus a Razr. :)
