iFish, iCat, iDog - Surprisingly, iDon't Hate

I usually hate on silly 'i" things for the simple reason that there are too many of them. When it comes to the iFish, iDog and iCat, my feelings are all friendly and fun. The small little critters are interactive speaker toys that hook up to your iPod or MP3 player. Apparently, you just have to play their favorite tunes and they will come to life - swishing their tails and flashing their LED 'mood' lights.

At first I didn't like iPod, iFish, iDog or anything but than I got an iFish at a garage sale for a dollar and now I love it. I love the way it dances to my music!

I work at Toys R Us, and we're having an entire store clearance blow out. For some reason out of all the "I" toys, the fish was the one that went on clearance. For an approximately $40 toy, I paid $7. I had never used/ played with / seen any "I" in action and only bought it because it was really cheap, and b/c it looked kinda cool. Let me say that the I-fish is the coolest thing alive! (Not literally) You don't even need to have an ipod for the fish, it comes with the wires to connect it to a laptop / computer or anything else you can plug those cords into. Or you could just turn it on and let it do its own thing, sings its own songs makes bubble noises, swirls around. Even though it is pretty cool, I don't think i'd pay $40 for it.

I finally broke down and bought my neices (14 & 10) each an ipod nano (red) and an ipod shuffle (the price = the age) this Christmas; I also bought the older girl the ifish and the younger the idog with a sweater set (who knew you could dress your accessories?)...anyway, I wasn't sure the 14 year old would be into it, but she LOVES her ifish, and I must confess I do too!
