I hardly ever pay attention when my cell phone carrier increases the fee for sending text messages—Five cents, ten cents, it usually all looks the same.
However, I'm finally starting to take notice because more and more phone carriers are hiking up their prices. According to CNN Money, T-Mobile has already increased their rates from 10 cents to 15 cents, and Sprint started charging 20 cents per message in October.
Verizon is the most recent carrier to join the group, as they will raise the price of text messages by five cents starting March 2nd.
Considering text messaging is said to account for about forty-five percent of all data revenue, it's no surprise that carrier companies are attempting to cash-in on the millions of texts sent each year. How do you feel about this? Would you switch phone carriers if they raised the fees?
Finding the perfect camera case can be a daunting task. First you have to decide if you want a case that fits into a purse, or if you can settle for a case that doubles as a wallet as well. Then there are size issues, and making sure the case will protect your camera plus finding something that is reasonably priced. During CES, I happened to have the chance to check out some of Kodak's new cases, which expand on their fashion camera bag series line. The cases are tiny, fashionable and are not exclusive to Kodak cameras. The fact that you could use one by itself or throw it in a purse is a double bonus. I'm what's considered a Craigslist junkie. I am constantly trolling the site, checking out the furniture section for hot vintage finds, reading Missed Connections for entertainment value, and cruising the housing listings for fantasy home relocation day-dreaming.
My love for Craigslist almost rivals my love for eBay, on which I've been an active member and shopper for years now. I am always encouraging people to use either when they are on the hunt for an item they just can't find in stores, but something many people shy away from on Craigslist or eBay is electronics.
