We've all seen the shiny candy colored cameras lined up at your local electronic stores' display shelves, ripe for the picking. Those colors! I know what you're thinking: It would match perfectly with my bag/shoes/iPod/insert accessory here. But what are these cameras made up of, other than flashy and oh-so-tempting exteriors? We'll divide and conquer five different models, learning the pros and cons of each so you get the camera you'll love and one that fits your needs too. Plus, explain what all the techie jargon means, so you can actually have a convo with the sales guy, and not just look like a deer in the headlights. Keep in mind, all of these beauties have at least 8-megapixels for super clear prints, as well as 3x optical zoom when you're ready for your close ups!
I found myself watching TiVoed episodes of Miss Guided this weekend and got a kick out of a scene where a student's gossip blog creates drama on campus. Namely, the main character, Becky, learns she's at the bottom of the "do-able" teachers' list and complains about the site to the principal, calling it a "blurgh." The principal, who is played by the dorky SNL alum, Chris Parnell, says "it's a blog, Becky, not a 'blurgh.'" It was a hilarious scene, but I couldn't help but wince. Blog has become such a dirty word and a huge fragment on the population doesn't understand what it means. I love blogs more than anyone, but I can't say I love the word.

This past weekend I ventured off to Ikea for an Easter weekend shopping excursion and I totally hit the jackpot. Feast your eyes on these Dave laptop tables that are perfect for couch laptop users like myself. Laptop on lap = too hot, laptop on coffee table = too low, laptop on the Dave laptop stand = just right. For only $25, yes the best $25 you'll ever spend (trust me), these sturdy, adjustable (height and angle) tables hold your laptop exactly where you want them for all your typing and Internet surfing needs. And if you have a few friends over and need an extra side table for food or drinks? They can be used for that as well! Available in black or white and super easy to assemble.
You really don't have a valid excuse for missing appointments or meetings if you sit in front of a computer all day or have a cell phone. There are just too many websites, alert programs and cell phone functions specifically examined to keep you on track and organized. If you've already taken steps to get organized online it's time you organize your schedule. The geeky way, of course!
When I first got my Wii, I was lugging it in a totally sub-par bag with no protection to friends' houses so we could tourney together since my place was way too small. And if anyone has ever lived in fear that the sensor bar was going to be crushed in the car drive over, knows what I mean when I say I wished I had a proper bag. Since there are now plenty of replacement parts and even wireless sensors, I don't worry about it as much. But still, having a nice Wii bag would be awesome, since I'm still the only one out of my pals to own a Wii.
So when I saw these Wii Brunswick Travel Bags ($45) while out cruising the Best Buy aisles last night, I was totally hyped up to grab one. Is it just me, or are these Wii Bowling Bags totally geek chic?
A repeat offender on geeksugar's Match the Celeb With the Cell Phone, this famous female sure does love her tried, tested and true Blackberry. Glad to see she's made the upgrade from the 8800 series to a silver Curve — gray seems to match her Spring wardrobe better anyways! I can only imagine the collection of handhelds and smartphones she has lying around at home. Any guesses as to who it is? Scroll down to leave your answer!
I am so bummed that this DIY picture frame/envelope combo is only in its concept phase of creation because it's soo neat! Take a photo, write a message, fold it up and mail it out (with the same piece of paper) and you've got yourself a GetFramed! Once the recipient receives the envelope, all they have to do is open it up, fold, assemble and the cute little frame will display your 4x6 photo for everyone to see, with no scissors or glue required!
After spotting this concept design on Gearfuse, I at first thought the picture would probably be destroyed by the time it arrived at Auntie M's but it seems like the entire envelope folds right around it. What do you think? Something you would possibly use?
