I was so excited to get my copy of Insecticide DS that I waited a whole day after getting it to start playing so I'd have time to take it all in. How could you not get excited about a cool, film noir-ish game about bugs?! Yes, bugs. The idea was awesome: In a postapocalyptic world, bugs are the dominant species. Thankfully, they evolved to set up a society much like our own with law, order, and, of course, crime.
You play as detective Chrys Liszt, trying to solve a murder at the Nectarola (ie: soda) plant in the capital city of Troi. The game takes on two different types of game play: adventure, where you are out in the field chasing down suspects, and then put in your time solving puzzles during your investigation work. By the sounds of things, I would have been more than content getting some action firing my bug weapons, but still using my bug brain by putting the pieces of the crime together. Unfortunately, this is not how things went down. Dun-Dun-DUN . . . To see what I mean, read more
H&M stores in Europe have already started putting barcodes in magazines and on billboards so that customers can take a pic of items with their cellphone cameras and get more product info later.
Google's new 2D barcodes may be a bit different, but they basically have the same outcome. Webmaster Tips reports that these new barcodes, which have already been spotted in Japan, contain info that can prompt your phone's web browser to go to a certain URL. So say for instance you wanted to know more about a new laptop, just take a picture with your cell phone and it will direct you to the product's website — neat, right?! Source
LOLCats Hits Politics — I Can Haz Crazy Caption? OK, I'm going to tell you about this, with a warning: once you start making these pictures you won't get anything else done. Those begrudgingly funny, quasi-annoying crazy cat caption pics? This is that, but with political and media figures!
I'm all about matching bags, but this limited edition mobile device case collection by Claw Money and Boost is a sight for sore eyes if you ask me! And since when was it OK to label bags, especially a regular duffle bag, a device bag?! Is there proper padding in each one? I highly doubt it. If you look closely you'll notice three small cases to the left that are said to fit cell phones or your iPod, but I was so distracted by the other bags, I hardly noticed them! Separately, they may work, but as a set? They are a gadget girl's nightmare!
On Monday night's episode of The Hills, I couldn't help but notice that Lauren always has her fingers in her mouth when on the phone! Looks more like nail biting than anything else. . . maybe it helps her focus or something?! Camera shy?! I've definitely become more ADD in my later years while talking on the phone and can't say I have a "phone habit" since I'm usually pre-occupied with getting off the phone. Although my mom can attest to the fact that I can be overheard washing dishes on Sunday mornings while chatting with her — sorry mom! What about you? Do you have any quirky habits when gabbing on your phone?
No! I can't believe we were denied Princess Leia headphones! I would rock those babies on the bus, plane, train, anywhere — but no. They appear instead only on a list of rejected Star Wars-themed merchandise, dug up by the Action Figure Insider. While headphones that make you look like Princess Leia would have been a good (or well, hilarious at least) idea, some of these things were rejected for good reason. Check them out!
All this time I've been looking for the perfect Nintendo DS Lite case, but I hadn't even considered a skin! Leopard's ins and outs as a trend seems to have ceased and cemented it as a classic, so I could see throwing this Leopard Print Skin by DecalGirl on my DS Lite, especially since it's such a small gadget, and while cute, the DS alone is a kind of a plain blank canvas. It's only $14 and a totally animal-friendly way to sport leopard skin. What do you say, love it or leave it?
