It's hard to believe that Carrie Bradshaw spent so much time in front of a laptop and managed not to Google all of her dates. But that's exactly what she does here, in the last season of Sex and the City, when she discovers the power of Google and its ability to snoop on future boyfriends. Enjoy this little geeky SATC snippet, as a taster for the movie's May release and its promise of cell phone madness!
Holy Mario. Though I shudder to think what Tim Gunn would say about this (and what would Christian say? "Hot tranny mess," or "fierce"?), but I have got to give it up to Etsy seller The Vintage Doctor, because this Super Mario Bros. Corset looks labor-intensive. It sold out a couple of weeks ago, which is a shame, because I need something to wear when I play Wii's Mario Kart for the first time (tee hee). How does this outfit make you feel?
This week's match-up isn't nearly as easy as last week's, so I thought I'd provide you with a few clues to help you figure out who the "blond bombshell" is carrying her BlackBerry! First thing's first, she's definitely not a stranger to reality television, has dated a couple of famous athletes, and in the geek world she is a Tamagotchi Connection fan. Any idea who it is? Scroll down to take a guess! Btw, don't you just love her cute outfit?!
These laptop totes by Sherry Stein certainly caught my eye when I saw them on Cool Hunting. I can't say I'm a fan of the $350 - $370 price tag, but as my mom always says, you get what you pay for, so I may have to start saving up. Sherry's vision? To create high-quality, multi-functional bags, that feature a ton of pockets for all your daily necessities — phone, wallet, laptop, lipstick, you name it! Each design is available in a variety of canvas colors, include "bark-tanned" taupe suede, and come lined in natural cotton.
With Mario Kart for the Wii hitting store shelves April 27, I'm already getting my engine revved up and am dying to get my hands on a Wii Wheel (which just so happens to come with the game!). A wheel is a wheel is a wheel right? Not exactly. When Mario Kart Wii creators were asked about the development of Mario Kart Wii, they said that there were 30 different prototype Wii Wheels before they got just the right wheel design. . . as some were not white, and some were not perfectly round. For more interesting Mario Kart tid-bits, check out the full interview! Source
I'm definitely excited to play with the Microsoft Surface, and I think it's a great idea that AT&T is using it to feature phones. I remember when they announced the Surface and everyone kind of balked about the price (10,000 bones), especially considering the ads and videos on the website that depict regular people using it for pictures and art.
Otherwise, the price and functionality make sense as a commercial product for AT&T and the Starwood Hotel chain, but are any regular people going to buy this thing for personal use when a consumer version is released in 2010? Even rich people? Tell me, if money weren't an object, would you buy a Microsoft Surface?
Forgive us for having engagements on the brain at geeksugar this week — it's wedding season on the Sugar network! So aside from geek romance, we also got two rounds of Hills tech quizzes. All I need is LC to get proposed to with the USB Engagement Ring, and I can die happy.
