I'm not married, or engaged, but the idea of creating a wedding registry totally excites me — dancing around a store (ahem, 27 dresses) with a barcode scanner, scanning to your hearts desire?! Good times indeed (yes, I'm delusional!). Scratch that thought for just a sec, and let's get back to basics and practicality — online wedding registries.
What's great about having an online registry is the fact that friends and family from all over can take part in the gift giving and the whole process is much easier than searching for gifts in stores. If you happened to miss CasaSugar's helpful guide to getting an online registry started, I'm going to give you a few more tips and suggestions.
First thing's first, deciding what stores meet your needs and which ones you want to be registered at. Thanks to sites like MyRegistry, the universal gift registry, you have the freedom to mix and match items from any of your favorite sites and stores to create the ultimate gift registry.

Fab Site: SexAndTheCityMovie.com We've been striking gold with all the recent SATC movie updates. First the film promo photos and now the official website. The site is packed with Fab goodies including — my absolute fave — a countdown widget that includes daily tips on fashionable trends, news, and facts, straight from the SATC ladies themselves.
If you are Facebook obsessed like millions across the world, have no fear, chat is here! Yes, if minifeeds, hundreds of applications, and email functionality wasn't cutting it for you in FB-land, Facebook chat has finally launched. Already integrated into your Facebook profile, you'll be able to start chatting with friends instantly without having to sign up for anything else.
I haven't had the chance to test it out yet, but the CrunchGear guys say it's simple to use and the interface isn't too shabby either. Other features? Sounds are played when when friends join and leave channels, and if you're in another tab, the FB title will change to say "Hey, you've got a message." Great, another thing to steal my attention!
How crappy is it when you know you saw something on a certain website, so you search it, just to find that their native search engine sucks?! You KNOW Google would find it. Of course, you can Google the site's name and the keyword, but you'll get results from different websites as well. Say you were Googling "geeksugar" plus "clocky" to find what geek has said about Clocky. It's not that efficient, because other sites may have mentioned both of those words, and your results can be all over the place. BUT! If you add the magic command "site:url" to the keyword in your Google search, problems are solved. For instance, you'd enter "Clocky site:www.geeksugar.com," and bam, all your results are from geeksugar, and geeksugar only.
Normally when I see ingenious inventions like this, I automatically assume it's either a concept design or a phone that will never work. Guess again. This "Marlboro phone" is totally legit — cigarettes on one side, fully functioning dual-band phone on the other. Featured on New Launches this tiny pack of goodness includes a 1.8-inch LCD screen, a camera and support for various media types. . . seems to me like the ideal phone for "Ms. Spears" back in the day. Holy cow — Friday night was definitely an event to be seen! Starbuck returned with no real questions being answered about how she got to Earth (and back), and the newly revealed Cylons are obviously struggling with their new status. I'm super stoked about this season, but knowing we're counting down to the final episode ever is a real bummer. But thankfully, one of you has something to celebrate, since we picked our winner for the BSG Propaganda Posters!
Congrats to Ultress for telling us what the frack she knew about the first three seasons, and scoring some awesome BSG paraphernalia. I hope you display them proudly. But now tell me, how closely were you paying attention to season four's first episode,"He That Believeth In Me"? Take my recap quiz and find out!
It's hard to believe that Carrie Bradshaw spent so much time in front of a laptop and managed not to Google all of her dates. But that's exactly what she does here, in the last season of Sex and the City, when she discovers the power of Google and its ability to snoop on future boyfriends. Enjoy this little geeky SATC snippet, as a taster for the movie's May release and its promise of cell phone madness!
