My trigger finger for Fandango is all itchy — with so many geeky movies coming out in the next few months, I plan on being at every one of them on opening night. From Iron Man, a movie based on a comic that will be made into a video game, to the high tech-filled feature Speed Racer (which is just begging to have a video game based on it), to an admittedly not-so-geeky, but I-can-make-it-geeky movie, Sex and the City, my movie card's totally full.
It's not enough for me, though! It seems like we have to wait so long for the next X-Files movie, not to mention how bummed I am that Fanboys may not even get a theatrical release. Anyway, with all these geeky films on the horizon, I have to know: What comic book or video game are you dying to see be made into a movie?
My friends, I present to you: The Clutch laptop bag. OK, so the Boyy Gus bag is more like a laptop sleeve, but look at it. I'd carry that baby in to work or to the coffee shop, and then at night, take out my laptop and fill the bag with my going-out essentials. Its double-duty aspect almost justifies the $385 price tag (I said almost!), but considering that it's not made for a specific laptop size, it might be a classic item. Just look at that Italian leather and that top zipper. Resistance is futile.
I can't even pinpoint when I switched to digital cable in my life — it just happened naturally (and probably when I moved), like tech evolution. So of course, like anyone else with digital cable already, I don't have to worry about how I'll be affected by the federally mandated shift from analog to digital cable.
For people who aren't already on digital (or have a newer, digital TV) though, there will be some unpleasant transitions. Converter boxes will run about six bucks per TV set, service installations of said boxes will cost people upwards of $60, and despite the availability in some places of government subsidies to help out, it will most likely be a big inconvenience. So I'm wondering, for cable subscribers, do you still have analog cable?
A much more extreme version of Rotten Neighbors, a site that lets you tattle on people in your community, is Post a Crime, a place for people to find, post, and stop crime.
By uploading photos, or video content of burglary, theft, vandalism, or other criminal acts, members can search the database of crimes and offer tips and share information about specific crimes for which they have knowledge. Although it's not intended for violent crimes like murder, assault, or rape, which should be directed to a law enforcement agency.

I love thrift store shopping and spring cleaning, oh! And the Internet, so I am more than stoked to have found out about Rehash. Rehash is a recycling website for clothes and accessories, which, like BookMooch, is based on the free trade of used clothes — I put up my 1997 Weezer tour T-shirt, I get your old, worn-in Levis.
This is such an awesome service — with my old clothes, I sometimes resell them (but usually get very little in return) or take them to Goodwill (feels good, though no cool new pieces of clothing in return). This is a rad new option, especially for old pieces I'm done with but want to see in a good home. I love seeing the recently rehashed items on the home page, as well as the ability to add coveted items to your profile, so you can finally get that ironic camping T-shirt out of your rotation!
