I love my BlackBerry, so very much, but since I'm blessed to have an iPhone as well, I try to avoid my BlackBerry's internet browser as much as humanly possible. The web browsing experience on my BB isn't nearly as chic and user-friendly as my iPhone, and most times, I just get irritated with it.
But thankfully there are downloads like Opera Mini, which make surfing the web that much more enjoyable on your cell phone. Opera Mini has just received an upgrade so in addition to checking your email, visiting your favorite social networking sites and catching up on all the latest news, users can now upload blogs and photos on-the-go as well as save pages for viewing offline later. This latest version, 4.1, is free, fast and available for download.
To download, just point your mobile's browser to Opera Mini.
Tony Stark may be a smart man, but why oh why would he build a computer with Windows Vista? I guess the superhero-Iron Man combo doesn't guarantee a foolproof computer! Here's a clip from the movie we just couldn't help but "re-create." Enjoy!
Yes, we got the memo - Roombas are trendy and Dysons are chic yet practical - check. But what about a vacuum that you could throw on your back, that's free from the constraints of irritating cords and a heavy base?!
I bring you the BacVac, a smart concept design created by The Continuum studio, which I spotted on Trend Hunter. This backpack-style vacuum cleaner is powered by an onboard fuel cell that would be replenished with ethanol. Hmm, they had me sold until the ethanol part!
Although I am still "eating up" all the geeky cakes being made by crafty bakers (and even our own TeamSugar members), I know that some of you may roll your eyes at the thought of seeing one more cake in the likeness of an iPhone or Star Wars character — even this crazy accurate R2D2 wedding cake — however crafty that they may be. I do love finding these edible gems, but are you totally over it?
I guess it's a rite of passage that you freak out before your wedding — whether it's over the flower arrangements, the cake, or your body. Although you should never stoop to crash dieting (I know Fit would tell you the same), it may actually help you to chill out by playing a video game. Bonus, if those games are interactive and get your blood pumping, you might just lose a few pounds while you're at it and tip the scales in your favor.
We all know what a workout you can get by playing Dance Dance Revolution, right? While having a blast matching your foot movements with the beat, in one hour you could be burning up to 900 calories! Not to mention, it might help you learn a few moves for the reception.
There are a few more great games to get you into shape. Find out what they are when you read more
A few years ago I spilled something onto my lap, and all I could think of was, "Edit, Undo". I was embarrassed for myself.
But that was then — now, I fully embrace my nerdiness and I am all for geeklife infiltrating real life, like with Fred & Friends' Delete Button Flyswatter. While not as fun as the bug zapping tennis racket, it's more clever, though, ahem, PetSugar, neither of them are very humane to those poor flies.
They say it works on Windows and Macs (snort) and it comes in charcoal or ivory. You know, to match your keyboard!
Being a professional "spammer" is risky business, but for those of us on the receiving end, you can't help but find it humorous when sites like Spam Is Poetry use these messages as their blueprint for artistic expression.
Contemporary artist Janet Nelson has taken email from her spam folder and created an ingenious collection of Innocent Spam drawings that are inspired by spam headlines such as this one — helping to get all of our minds out of the gutter!
