YouTube Video of Fort Bragg Gets Results
Army dad Edward Frawley paid a welcome-home visit to his son — just returning from a tour of duty with the 82nd Airborne Division in the mountains of Afghanistan — and he was shocked to see the deplorable conditions of his son's barracks at Fort Bragg, NC. Finally an instance where YouTube was used for good instead of evil.
After a recent mini vacay, I was walking through the airport and caught an application for something called FlyClear — a "fast pass" aimed to get you through airport security quicker. With having just been through a few insane security lines of my own, the idea of a fast pass (that is totally tech savvy to boot) did pique my interest. We all know how annoying it is to be behind "that guy" who takes five minutes to find his laptop, ask if his digital camera is safe, and shuffle through his bag for his camcorder . . . all while you're racing the clock to make your flight!
It seems to be a simple process to get your FlyClear on: a completed application, and a visit to a FlyClear office to get your photo, fingerprints, and iris (yes, iris) scanned. Then at the airport, all you have to do is present your FlyClear card and boarding pass, scan your iris, and off you go, whizzing through security faster than all those other Joe's waiting in that long line. A little bit Total Recall, no? Plus, security agents will help you get all your gadgets into bins of their own to move you along even quicker. At $128 bucks for the first year, and limited usable locations, I'm not sure I fly enough to warrant a security pass, but it seems like a totally cool and geeky idea! Would you use it?
How can you not love a site that says "If you don't think Hallmark cards are kind of creepy - you are probably in the wrong place and should probably leave this place and never come back. Now." Wrong Cards is a one-of-a-kind site offering some of the most clever and fun cards you'll find on the internet. Maybe a bit more PG than Someecards (well unless you hit up the "flirting" section), Wrong Cards provides cards for many occasions and is guaranteed to have you LOL!

Google has just launched a new collection of pretty swanky new iGoogle themes that are sure to pimp your personalized iGoogle page. I opted for the tres chic Dolce and Gabbana leopard one, but I'm sure I'll mix it up since there are over 70 creations by various artists from around the world to choose from! Other famous artists include Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg, and Tory Burch. And for those who can't stand to pick just one theme for their page, Google has created a sampler theme that rotates through all their participating artists' themes!
To change your theme, click on "select theme" in the lower, bottom right corner of the picture at the top of your iGoogle page.
Niko Bellic is here baby, and he's not messing around! The hard driving, and often controversial Grand Theft Auto IV from Rock Star Games hit the shelves yesterday, attracting geeks and non-geeks alike to local Best Buy and GameStop stores for their midnight release of the biggest game of the year. Previous Grand Theft Auto titles met a mountain of backlash for depicted violence and sexual content, and this title is no exception. Although some critics who are bashing the game admit they haven't even played it yet, the newest installment is getting perfect scores from game reviewers across the globe.
With sales expected to hit upwards of $360 million dollars from six million copies sold this week alone, those numbers beat out previous record holder Halo 3, for most units sold in the first week. Although I haven't had a chance to dive in yet, I'm sure there were some gamers out there calling in sick to work yesterday! Were your thumbs warmed up for one of the many midnight releases?
This month's Vogue has more than Iron Woman Gwyneth Paltrow — they have a spread called "Let's Get Digital," that seems to be aimed squarely at me and my geeksugar loyalists! They mix Logitech with Lanvin, iPhones with Armani, Blackberrys and Balenciaga — what I've been striving to do for years: meshing a look that loves fashion as much as technology.
