It's a show of selflessness that I'm posting these vintage Geek Alphabet Blocks from Three Potato Four (the purveyors of those gorgeous vintage typewriters we drooled over together) because I'm dying for them.

They're just four vintage blocks put together, but they're spelling out a word near and dear to my heart.
They'd rep hard in my house and match their surroundings — the antique, weathered blocks don't look like the child's toy they once were, so no kids are required to own these, buuuut . . . just think how adorable these would look in your geeky baby nursery!
With the primetime TV season nearing an end I thought it was time to share some of the gadgets that got serious screen time this year.
I've already shared my
favorite geeky PC men, so it's only fair I show some love for the Mac men out there. What TV characters rocked Macbook Pros all season? Check out this slideshow to find out!
I lost my taste for downloading screensavers a while back, and now I get more pumped up about a great new Firefox extension (am I mature, or just boring now?). That all changed when I saw that I could download Paul Rudd, my gorgeous, brainy, vintage-Nintendo-shilling crush — I couldn't click my Mighty Mouse fast enough.
Paul Rudd is one of Funny or Die's Celebrity Screensavers series, and I couldn't commend them more for their excellent taste. Although it's not great for my productivity because I keep finding excuses to walk away from my computer so the screensaver comes on. Oh, hello, Paul!
My best friend uses iCal, but my sister uses Google Calendar. How do I keep up with their invites?
I recently found the Spanning Sync application, which synchronizes Google Calendar and iCal and allows you to share calendars between multiple Macs. It also connects Google Calendar to your iPod, iPhone and other devices.
All you have to do is download Spanning Sync, share your Google Calendar, then sync it with iCal on your computer. From then on, any changes you make in Google Calendar show up in iCal and vice versa. When I tried it the sync was quick and effective but the application wasn't 100 percent intuitive. I had to create new "calendars" in my Google calendar in order to transfer over my iCal calendars, a step that isn't clear when you look at the sync page. The application is free for 15 days, after which you can sign up for either a $25 one-year subscription or a $65 one-time purchase.

I've been itching to get a digital SLR camera so I can take full advantage of all the photography tips I've rounded up over the last year, but naturally, I'm looking for a good deal. So when looking online, I noticed that there is a huge range of prices for the same camera at different online retailers — can it be true that my coveted Nikon D60 really could cost me only $400 versus the $675 I've seen it priced elsewhere? My grandmother used to tell me, "If it's too good to be true, it probably is," and once I checked out these online retailers with ReSellerRatings, I knew my dream of getting the camera on the cheap was over.
Although it's easy to be swayed into going with the lowest price you can find online, see why it's smarter to spend a little more (and get what you pay for) when you read more
