There's no denying it: Everyone needs a little Morocco in her life. Can't afford a trip right now? The only world traveling you do is on the World Wide Web? Get these Tile Skins then, and bring some European flair home with your laptop.
I've been digging the idea of laptop skins lately, so these will just go on my list of potential skins — since they are as arty as the ones in the slideshow but a little more romantic. A little more, ironically, old-world.
How much geekery can you stand? Do you love your games so much that you would plaster them on your wall? If so, Blik has just introduced Nintendo wall decals, inspired by vintage games, which can make your lair just that much gamier.
Three kits — Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros., and Donkey Kong — can be arranged in a variety of ways on your wall (see the gallery below) and though I'd doubt I'd put this on my living room wall, these would be awesome in a game or kid's room. What do you think?
I use the notepad function on my iPhone waaay too much, like so much that I have pages and pages of random notes (dresses I see out that I want to find cheaper online, reminder to buy my Dad something on Amazon when I get home) and it ends up being not all that efficient. Especially because I generally forget to check the pages and pages of notes until I'm making another note for something else.
So I'm outsourcing the notes and thoughts in my head to Jott.
Sign up for a free account with Jott and let them do the organizing and yes, jotting down for you. You can call them and leave a voicemail, text, or email, with your lists and emails or anything else you want to remember later. When you sign on (yes, you do have to remember to sign in), all your notes, whatever way you got them to Jott, will be organized for you. My appointments thank you!
I happen to have a few eBay bids out on some precious Polaroid film, and am watching others before I jump in. With the Firefox eBay companion, I can see the stats on my bids right on my browser — without having to stop what I'm doing to log in. What's cooler is when an item's auction is about to end and I get outbid, a pop-up box will tell me I better pump up my dollar amount before it's over!
I might need a new TV. Yesterday Apartment Therapy highlighted this gorgeous Hitachi LCD ultraslim flat-panel television. Not only do I have a crush on the white frame, but also I'm excited for this trend in electronics. The iPhone 3G, the MacBook, now TVs . . . what's next?
I believe the trend can be attributed to Apple — the iPod remained clothed in its iconic white for a few years (I once read in Domino that Apple wouldn't surrender its formula for the specific shade of white).
We were accustomed to that yucky beige for years, and then everything seemed to trend black, and now we're finally seeing more clean, colorless white. You know how I feel about it; how do you?
