I'm all about change when it has to do with evolving and improving, but seriously — first Strawberry Shortcake gets totally transformed (I love Strawberry Shortcake Gen 1 much better), and now Sanrio is coming out with new characters called Cherinacherine that bear a striking resemblance to Hello Kitty?!

OK, so I've kinda been slacking in the Hello Kitty department lately, but that doesn't mean Hello Kitty needs some younger and plushier competition! I guess Sanrio will be releasing Cherinacherine bags, toys, cell phone straps and all the other goodies that we'll use to come in HK. . . this is just the beginning folks! I'm scared to see what's next!

As a geek and avid beach bum, I hate to restrict my love for net surfing and reading just because of those strong sun rays. I know, most of you thought the LapDome on the left was totally freakish, rightly so, as it's not everyday you see people sporting "tents" with their laptops inside. But it does offer that shelter your laptop desperately craves in the hot sun, and removes that nasty glare which makes it humanly impossible to see anything on your screen.

This makes me a little less bitter at United for charging $15 per checked bag: the airline is installing iPod and iPhone docks on its airplanes. Not only will you be able to charge your battery at your seat, you'll be able to scroll through your music and videos from the seat back's screen! Don't watch from that silly little screen, watch from behind somebody's head!

The first few flights to boast the Apple connectivity will be transatlantic, and will sadly be for first-and business-class passengers. That had better not last, or my forgiveness for the checked-bag fee will quickly depart.
