Just when we get swept off our feet and are falling head over heels in love with the iPhone 3G, the underdog comes in for the kill — the Android!
Google's Senior Director of Mobile Platforms, Andy Rubin, has already started showing off the Android's open source operating system to the media, and it looks glorious! One fabulous feature of the Android's OS is its ability to multitask, allowing multiple applications and programs to function at once. . . effortlessly, without your phone freezing up! Phones will need at least a 200MHz ARM 9 processor for the OS to operate, and it will be compatible with a variety of keyboard types and small or large screens.
With the offensively high price of gas, and airlines beginning to charge for checked baggage, I'm almost in favor of a staycation this Summer. It's depressing really, because summertime is the best time to skip town and waste away again in Margaritaville.
If you're not going to take my prodding for a Smart Car, and you'll be flying the friendly skies, then I'm asking you as much for advice as curiosity; when you book airfare online, what's your favorite discount travel website? Source
What did the Girl Scouts always say? Be prepared! (Did they always say that? Like I know.) Get your new iPhone 3G case before July 11 and be ready to slip it into something more comfortable right away (though I admit it, I'll be tempted to try to fit it into my 1.0 cases, just to see). There's always a ready group of accessories for a not-yet-released gadget, and you know what that means: lots of ugliness to sift through. I've done the sifting for you, so check out my picks for the best 3G cases!
Hey, look guys. . . it's pink. . . it has hearts. . . OK, I can't take it. This heart-shaped USB monstrosity boasts a purpose — a pen holder, a lamp, and a speaker, but I think even Hello Kitty would insist it's a bit too saccharine.
There's no suggested age range (i.e., elementary) for this gadget, so I have a problem imagining the meeting where someone pitched this desk accessory for living, breathing females over the age of 5.
Do you have a pink headache looking at this too, or is it just me?
The exergaming craze is now in full swing, especially after the debut of the Wii Fit in May. If you've been following along with my 30-day Wii Fit Fitness Test, which is sadly over, you will know that the Wii Fit actually works — I lost four and a half pounds!
Now for the good stuff — the winner of the Wii Fit! Congratulations to TeamSugar user michlny — who was randomly selected from the list of participants in the giveaway. Michlny will soon have her very own Wii Fit and is already getting excited to play.
Thanks to everyone who participated. Stay tuned for more giveaways in the upcoming weeks!
What would you get if Digg and SugarLoving fell madly in love with ShopStyle and they got married and had babies? You'd get I Like Totally Love It, which uses a Digg-like interface to display the weird and awesome products found by its users.
These are not just sort-of-cool tchotchkes that make OK eye candy, this is a nuts display of material — check out these Gangly Black Gloves and the Cupcake Necklace that were just waiting for me on the homepage. Filter through the categories to check out things the Internet hasn't shown you yet, and vote them up like you would on SugarLoving.
