As much as I love silicone gel cases for my phones, I'm kind of stubborn about them when it comes to the iPhone. I'll happily wrap my BlackBerry in brightly-colored silicone skins, but the design of the iPhone is something I don't want to cover up — especially in the striking new colors.
I can stop being stubborn because I've found these Ultra-Slim Silicone iPhone Cases ($12)! Being available in 11 bright colors and at such a low price point makes those Juicy iPhone covers I showed you yesterday look pretty weak.
Their thinness is a dual benefit — you can still see the Apple logo on the back, and they almost look like they're Colorwared, right? Only without the exorbitant price tag!
Where can you go to get reviews of TV shows, movies, games, music, and DVDs all in one place? Why that would be Metacritic, of course! Metacritic could very well be your BFF when it comes to deciding where to throw your money. It compiles reviews from some of the most respected critics from around the world and summarizes them to a single grade (one to 100) and color – green being favorable reviews, yellow meaning mixed reviews, and red indicating it's totally skipable – so you know at a glance if that movie is worthy of a date night, or if you should hold off for a matinée special.
What's cool about Metacritic is that if you don't trust the professional reviewers' opinions, you can also check out user reviews on the same topics. And the best part? You can even access reviews and scores on your mobile! No more guessing on the go. Now you're informed.

I am so impressionable — I pick up a Wiimote for some Wii Tennis and want to find a real court the next day, play Wii Boxing and want to sign up for a class at the gym. Then I find myself on SingStar, and want to go to American Idol tryouts, or rock out with Rock Band and learn the real drums and guitar.
Even if I never make good on my pursuits (but I have pulled out my lonely acoustic guitar a couple of inspired times), I love that video games now are so much more interactive than just sitting on my couch and engaging my fingers and thumbs. Wii Fit, sports games, and both Guitar Hero and Rock Band have you on your feet and feeling like you're doing the actions in the video game, instead of just watching an avatar.
So, are you like me, and do these games make you want to learn a new skill, or are you content doing the video game version in your living room?
It doesn't matter whether you would date Steve Wozniak or not; he's off the market, ladies! The Apple co-founder got married over the weekend to his fiancée — who is not, I repeat, not Kathy Griffin. That makes me pretty sad, because I loved them together on her show, My Life on the D-List.
Even though I can't add the Woz and Kathy to my list of tech giants and their loves, I'm on the lookout for a fab pic of Woz and his lucky lady. I hope she's geeky, too, and the odds are that she is, because she and Woz wed at the SegwayFesT 2008. Nerd alert!
Thought The Bachelor was silly? At least the guy from The Bachelor doesn't tell you that he'd rather hang out with his HDTV.
That's basically the premise of a new reality show, called Gadget or the Girl? where contestants choose between a mystery gadget and spending a weekend with a hot lady. I don't know what I feel the worst about — comparing a woman to a piece of electronic equipment or the self-esteem of the participating females ("objectified" doesn't even begin to cover it).
I mean, don't we already deal with boyfriends who pay more attention to their video games, computers, and cell phones (although I know I dish that out too sometimes)? The show is on Playboy TV, so I don't know about you, but I probably won't click past it in my regular rotation.
What do you think? Is Gadget or the Girl where our all-encompassing gadget love has gotten us, or is it just a misogynistic display of boys and their toys?
