This is the first campaign we've got to follow in this particular age of the Internet; with blogs, every little story becomes a big story, every mountain a molehill, as word-of-mouth has become URL-link-hand-offs. I'm already trying to keep up with CitizenSugar, and now, you can keep up with what the candidates and their campaigns are reading themselves, with Google's new Power Readers feature.
The Power Readers page is like reading shared items in Google Reader, only instead of a shared blog post from your friend, it's from Barack Obama. Choice on his reading list? The Daily Show!
These days, when I want to display photos in a portable, rotatable way, I think of digital frames, and not necessarily jewelry, but this Soho Photo Cuff ($25) could be your new way of carrying around photos!
Forget wallet pics or using your iPhone to show off beloved photos; with the photo cuff, it's not digital, but it is an accessory.
Shove the faces of your BFF, boyfriend, or nieces and nephews in your bracelet, whatever you want — it's geek jewelry and a pretty low-tech way to keep your photos on your person. What do you think?
Not only was I super jealous of LilSugar's one-on-one interview with Tori Spelling last week, now I'm jealous of Tori and her flat-screen-TV-in-the-dining-room setup (part of the home remodel they did on their show, Home Sweet Hollywood).
I may be a total prude about not allowing a television in the bedroom, but in the dining room? Heck yeah. Especially for the nights when you're alone and just want Spaghettios and addictive reality TV.
I have neither a dining room nor an extra flat screen TV, so not only is Mrs. McDermott my '90s TV idol, she's my TV-displaying idol too!
No matter how you want to slice it or dice it, at the end of the day, there are some things that women experience (ahem — menstrual cycles, pregnancy) that men will never have to endure in their lifetime. I've already touched on all my fave iPhone games and essential iPhone apps, but now it's time to round up the apps out there that are just for the ladies. So men, enter this slideshow at your own risk and ladies, you can find all these awesome apps in the iTunes App Store!
Now they bring us the Lexie Tech Tote ($120), which I'm crushing on. The neutral tone is mod rather than boring, and it looks like a single bag that won't break my back when I have a lot of stuff in it, especially since the nylon is a lighter alternative to leather or canvas.
But the same things I love about it — the color, the size, the fabric — might be what someone else hates.
Tell me: It's a hit for me, but is it a miss for you?
I work in an area that's populated with a sickening amount of restaurants, yet every single day, when it's lunch time, I have absolutely no idea what I want. Too many choices is a luxurious problem, I realize, but that doesn't make me decide on what to eat any sooner. But now I finally have someone to tell me what to do: Urban Spoon!
The Urban Spoon app for the iPhone can be used to find nearby restaurants like the Yelp app, but that's not the genius fun part: the Shake feature has you scroll to an area, a type of cuisine, and a price range (lock any of the three if you are set on an area or a kind of food), and then you literally shake it!
Shake it easy, shake it like a Polaroid picture, you know the drill. They settle on a randomized restaurant, and then boo-ya grandma, the decision is made for you!
