With Thanksgiving over and done with, we can now move on to bigger and better things — like holiday shopping! Good times, right?
If you've got an iPhone, I've got just the thing that will make Christmas shopping a little less stressful this year. For 99 cents, you can download the iDelux App that will help you create and manage all of the people on your shopping list. And not only that, but it will keep you on track with your budget — as you add gifts to a person's name, it will alter your budget to tell you how much money you have left.
A great organization tool and it prevents you from over-spending. Genius!
What I wouldn't give for an excuse to spend $450 on a new laptop bag. . . the different ways to fold it, hold it, and carry it alone make Hard Graft's Unfold Bag a versatile everyday laptop bag. Not sure which is better, the black canvas body or the all-leather body; they're both beautiful.
Not only does the folding look cool, its flexible design allows it to be used for different-sized laptops, so when you upgrade your PC, you can use the same bag. I'm keeping this in mind for my next splurge (when I'm in splurging mode again)!
In my Twilight gadget rundown from the other day, I noticed in the comments some mentions about Bella's tech being upgraded to reflect the year. Instead of 2004's old desktop and dial-up connection, she had a 2008-era black MacBook and fast Internet.
Her lack of a regular cell phone in the book wasn't a glaring error in 2004, but in 2008, the filmmakers would have been remiss in not giving her a phone when every teen has one. And I loved the choice of the blackbook, but it did alter her characterization a little by making her seem more tech-savvy than book Bella.
As a fan of both the book and the movie, the updating of the gadgets didn't bother me, because the book was published in 2004, but not specifically set then, so if the movie is taking place in present day, then 2008 technology is expected.
But as a geek, I'm obviously biased in wanting to see newer gadgets, or at least, thoughtful prop placement, but as a book-lover, I could understand wanting to see the book portrayed on film exactly as you wanted it.
Yes, I know how unsexy it is to suggest a flash drive as a holiday gift, but its practicality is ideal for some people (like my mom, who keeps fretting about transporting and toting digital photos, and my student sister, who needs one for papers and other files). Make it a fun gift to get by selecting a memory stick that's as cute as it is necessary — and check out my picks for the perfect geeky present!
To be completely honest, Cyber Monday excites me more than Black Friday. I can skip the early morning wakeup call, the crowds, and the rushing around from store to store trying to get the must-have items on my shopping list. Cyber Monday means I can do all my shopping online without having to set foot in a busy mall, while still scoring some amazing deals. To make this day even more exciting, I have buckets of tips in this slideshow that will help you save even more while you're clicking away. Check them out — you can thank me later.

Ever wish you could send out a voice message to a group of people in your contacts list? Thanks to a neat site that I discovered on Lifehacker, this is now possible! With Dial My Calls, you can send one message to all your friends for things like sharing an announcement, telling them there's been a change of plans, or reminding them of an upcoming event. Kinda like sending a mass email, except this message comes with the sound of your beautiful voice.
Samsung Cell Phone or Energy Drink? The trend of naming cell phones something catchy is pretty great — it's so much easier than remembering some crazy combination of letters and numbers. Today's source of confusion is Samsung again — can you guess which of these are cell phones, and which are the names of energy drinks?
