Family ties bound last night's episode of Gossip Girl, which was hot hot hot — gorgeous, candy-colored cell phones at every turn! It was a geek's dream (and a fashionista's; check out CelebStyle for last night's looks) and I ate up every minute of it. If you did too, then take my tech quiz and see how well you paid attention.
What should we do as a society to combat unrealistic images of celebrities due to the widespread use of Photoshop? Rant and rave on a blog? Publicly shame them on sites like Photoshop Disasters?
Or, you could take it back to the streets, as was done on an ad of celebs in a train station in Berlin; the geeky street artist affixed a Photoshop menu and commands onto the smooth faces of Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.
I don't know how you could feel anything less than confident in the FTW Necklace ($18), cut from black acrylic. For noobs, the acronym means "for the win."
You could be the the embodiment of FTW, which would be awesome for your self-esteem. And on days when things aren't as happy as they should be, you could always turn it around backwards. Zing.

When I opened my mail the other day, I was totally bummed to find that I had been summoned to jury duty. Not that I don't what to perform my civic requirements and what not, but knowing I can't bring a laptop (or even a book) into the waiting area of the courthouse, I know I will be bored with a capital B.
So when I came across this Interactive Text Messaging Game, I thought it might be just the thing I need. I mean, I've got tons of people around me that are just as bored, and plenty of friends "on the outside" to play, that I just might make it through the day with my patience in tact. Oh, and the fact that it's on sale for $1.99 makes it super easy to add to my cart. Case closed.
Did you get any gift cards for Christmas that you have no intentions of using? It's OK, you're not stuck with them and you won't have to force yourself to "find something you like." Why, because there's a new site called Giftah that makes it easy for US and Canadian residents to trade or sell their unwanted and unused gift cards. I found this site on Lifehacker, and was skeptical at first, but then soon realized it's actually a nifty site. If you are looking for a bargain, there's some gift cards that are marked down as much as 50 percent from the actual price (usually cards with expiry dates). I'm just wondering what the success rate has been on these transactions so far?
